Since we are having a very exhilerating discussion on Noah I thought I would touch upon what people feel there is more evidence for regarding a religion vs a conspiracy-type theory.

Which do we as a society have more evidence for? God? or...... UFO's?

technically, UFO's... since anything you see in the sky, but cannot figure out what it is, is a UFO (unidentified flying object).

Maybe saying extraterrestrial life vs God would be a more accurate way to discuss this? If so, then it's still pretty even. While I believe in God, I have not personally met him nor seen a picture of him. This is more a 'belief' thing than a 'proof' thing though.

I do not think we have evidence for either God or extraterrestrial life. I believe in God and I think that as vast as the universe God created there is life on other planets.

We have pictures of UFOs. Just saying.

Technially, UFO's as they're unidentified. A UFO doesn't automatically mean "extraterrestrial aliens", it just means we don't know exactly what it is.

This is true. We arent sure WHAT most of these photos are. Where in the Bible there seems to be some historical truth..... alas there isnt any PROOF regarding God in there. Its all just a story. Right?

I've seen a UFO. I saw something in the sky and I didn't know what it was.

I once owed God $5.

In the winter of 1999, I was driving home from work in a snowstorm in the early hours of the morning. It was a rural road, with hundreds of yards between houses and about a dozen miles between the office and my apartment. I was somewhere in between, driving an Oldsmobile I'd bought used earlier that week. I discovered that night that the car's gas guage was one of its many broken features.

I don't think I was at death's door, exactly, but I had no cell phone and a freezing walk ahead of me, as spending the night in the car -- an inviting option at first -- seemed less and less reasonable as the cabin's temperature dropped.

It seemed unlikely that another driver would pass soon, but after about 15 minutes, a guy rolled up and stopped next to me. I told him I thought I was out of gas, and he advised me to wait there -- as if I had a better plan. After roughly 15 more minutes, he returned with a gas can and emptied it into my tank. The car fired right up, and precious heat started pouring from the dashboard vents once more.

When I tried to pay him with the sole $5 bill in my wallet, he waved his hand and said, "Put it in the offering plate."

I hadn't been a church-going man in many years, and I haven't spent a lot of time at church since, but I made sure to settle that debt.

My point is that God's influence on mankind is evident. Whether for good or harm, God's presence as a motivating force is substantial and undeniable. That may not be incontrovertible proof of God's physical existence, but it shows that the notion of God alone is powerful enough to reshape nations, ignite global conflicts or even rescue me from a fool's fate in a snowstorm.

Technically, we have more evidence for Unidentified flying objects because it can be seen in the sky. We have no evidence that their is a god so technically Ufo's are more real than god. And, yes UFO's don't always mean "OMG ALIENS FROM OUTER SPACE!" It just means that you aren't able to Identify the object you see up in the sky which happens a lot. For example, Flares can be confused with a spacecraft.

To those who have no faith - it's a story. To those who have faith, it's more. If there was PROOF, there'd be no need for faith - which defeats the purpose the Bible identifies.

Good, I am back in the minority.
I do believe that there is "a god", things cannot be so beautiful otherwise.
All, from the grain of sand, the the farthest observable sun and everything in between are part of this.
I think that "god" is life.
I do not accept any god as depicted by the ancients, including those of today.
Long ago the aliens may have visited, but they escaped before being murdered by man. Even today, they would keep away, man is still full of ignorance and fear.

A good read and very well put.
We have both "good" and "bad", at the same time. In Iraq, the same man could have thrown the gasoline at you.
This is something that I may never have the intellect to comprehend nor understand.

I believe in a GOD
"Evidence" = UFOs
