Italy was beautiful. Florence was incredible. The food was amazing, the art, the street performers, etc. Rome was also magnificent as was the Vatican. And you can't beat the gelato. The churches were amazing. The colussium and Roman ruins, the history, it was all amazing.

Greece was pretty amazing too, but Athens was dirty. Paris was another dirty city, but I loved Caen. London was nice, but we were only there for a couple days. It was foggy and cloudy the whole time. Given the choice, I would go back to Italy. But that will be years in the future now that we have a kid.

I really really like a French city I visited. The spelling of the name escapes me, sounds like "RUH-WA". Barcelona was pretty the parts I visited. But I am biased lol

What is your favorite European country? You're choice could be made on culture, political reasons, food, standards of living, or any other reason. Explain in the reply.

I can't really say that I have any favorite country but I would like to visit Germany. Mostly for the beer. Plus when I was in the Army other soldiers would talk about Germany as though it was a Disney World for adults.

Of another european countrys probably Germany.Despite what alot of people from Britain may think we are similar people.France and Italy are boring.Southern Spain is nice and hot.Prague (czech republic) is definetly worth a visit.Though i wouldnt romanticise too much Americans there is no better city than new york.

Never been to Europe. I'd probably most want to visit the UK because of the culture and history.

I will have to go with Ireland because of the people. There was an amazing outpouring of hospitality and kindness from all of the people I encountered no matter where I was on the island, this held true for downtown Dublin, or remote countryside. I had spent a month there in a larger 4 month trip backpacking around Europe (I ended up extending my stay there) - and I have returned twice since. To this day (20+ years later) I am still in contact with a family that took me and my friend -as strangers- in as their own, introducing us to their inquisitive kids the morning after a night of heavy drinking as "their American cousins".

Even those who had little to nothing to give were quick to offer a roof over your head, a loaf of bread for your lunch, or a pint for your belly, all accompanied with good conversation and good times. As a 17 sprouting 18 year old kid at the time, I recall one old man in a pub who insisted on buying us a pint despite his hardships - and over our insistence that we buy his instead- who taught me a lesson in selflessness that was very karmic in nature that has stuck with me ever since.

I happen to study Russia so I figure that one is the most interest to me even though many don't qualify it as 'European'. I would love to travel to England however. Havent been to Europe since I was a kid.

Spain, because of the wine. The culture, cheese and food are amazing. But Spanish Rioja's simply rule red wine... France, especially Southern France, Switzerland and Italy were all cool too. England can bite it, that place is a dump.

I'm gonna add Spain to my list too. I've never been there, but it's definitely on my "to visit" list next time I'm in Europe. There's just so much cool stuff to do and see there.

It all depends what the topic is. England has some great dominatrixes. :spank:

You may want to consider this for your favorite European nation:

Other World Kingdom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I will leave it up to you to find their direct website.

The OWK is a matriarchy, where women rule. The state also has strong BDSM and Female dominance themes. The state's goal "is to get as many male creatures under the unlimited rule of Superior Women on as much territory as possible."

Would you perhaps be thinking of the historic capital of Normandy? Rouen.

I chose to live in Switzerland, so obviously, it is my favorite country in Europe. However, if we're going with the vacation type favorite place, then Italy wins hands down, no contest at all. I love the people (my people, I'm part Italian), the food, the history, the architecture, the countryside of Tuscany, the cities of Rome (my hometown), Florence, Venice and Milan and the rugged beauty of Sicily.

Germany, for the language and the history and the food...

The most beautiful women are in Portugal, but I'm married so that's irrelevant.

Italy
Any nation that gives the world an Ursula Andress, a Enrico Caruso, a Leonardo di Vinci, Ferrari, and then chooses the right side in one war and the wrong in the Second.....
They bowed too much to the Mussolini fascists and when our nation was split in two, they were split into many..
And they gave us the Godfather, Vito Andretti(Corelone), and at the same time, the Popes. Forgive the mis-spellings.

Well I have been to Italy and I wasn't that impressed... lol.. The food is ok and the culture is ok, but I don't fit in very well culture wise. I am just too different than the Italians.

I fit in well with the German people.. but it's probably not my favorite either.. the weather isn't good, the food isn't great, but the Autobahn and rails are amazing

I like Finland.. it's beautiful, but I don't like the weather

soooooo... I would probably want to live in southern France in a cottage. I love French cottages! Or perhaps in southern England.. it's also very beautiful there, on a nice beach :)

Ireland. Thank you, thank you ...thank you *raises glass
