Barbara Bush is class. Sarah Palin lacks a couple of those alphabetical letters.

Unlike Obama (Obama, who is the president and should have a thicker skin) he fires back at talk show host, Fox and conservatives and that's not negative, petty and whining?

Palin takes more crap from the media than anyone I can think of. She fires back a couple of times and that makes her whiney? I wish she'd do it more often.

No but when Daily Kos started calling General Petraeus "General Betrayus" he didn't rebuke them.

Then he had to take him back. That should have been awkward but it seemed everyone forgot how all the liberals had thrown Petraeus under the bus at one time.

Nice attempt at distracting from Palin making an ass of herself, but it ain't working.
 
In my view - Barbara Bush is a fabulous woman and doesn't deserve flack from anyone.

Most people strongly or somewhat agree with that view - I remember hearing of different polls about Barbara and President Bush - people loathed Bush but really like Barbara. She's done nothing wrong.

So why the **** is Palin poking at her as if she's done something horrible?

I don't get it. . . and I hope it comes around to bit Palin in the alaskan ass.

I don't think that she actually expects to take the presidency. I think her strategy is to keep on with the talking head circuit indefinitely. She's saying and doing things to get attention w/o regard to the "presidentialness" of them. Attention getting as a marketing tool.
 
I now strongly suspect that if the Obama popularity numbers continue to slide another five to ten points over the next six months, and no real consensus GOP candidate emerges, that Palin will absolutely jump in and believe she can win at least the nomination.
 
Of course. Look at the history. However - poppy Bush is a different animal who simply suffered from Reagan's policies catching up with him. Poppy has the street cred (Military, CIA chief, legislator), and I actually liked him. Still do.

When this idiot of a woman can figure out that making yourself a public figure puts a target on your back, maybe she'll chill. But from what I can tell right now, her whole shtick is making pissed off people more pissed off. And they say the left does nothing but react emotionally... Sigh...

Of course, there was that whole Prescott Bush orchestrating a coup of the Roosevelt administration and maintaining German business contacts thing in the 30's. That, however, would be a treasonous bastard and not a blue blood.
