Yes, and I've done so many times during my adult life.

Yep. Anytime I get in a fight with a girlfriend I admit I was the one who was wrong. Although that might be because I am whipped.

Re: Can you admit to a mistake?

A few times I've apparently made a mistake, been informed of such by another, and realized I do not recall making the mistake (even if it's only been 30 mins)...

I've never been quite sure if they were messing with me or if I really made a mistake...

But in answer to the OP, yes.

I'm made a ****load of mistakes in my life so far, and expect to make many more.

Depends, admitting your mistakes make you vulnerable to your enemies.

It's hard for me to admit a mistake, especially if whoever I'm debating with is someone I'd consider a rival, and I'm also a proud bastard. But logically, there's no point in arguing beyond a point where you know you're wrong...

Bbbutt…..I thought all a person had to do, to win a debate, was to make the last post no matter how inane it is.

    I win!!!
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
