Yeah, prove you don't follow the herd, call him a socialist...like everyone else.

If the man is a socialist, are you really a sheeple for calling him one?

I wonder how many people actually think that Wikipedia is an unbiased, objective, accurate source. When my daughter was an undergrad, most of her profs would give you an F if you tried to use wiki-wiki as a source.

I proofread a friend's paper that goes to South Carolina and he used Wiki in his paper. I told him I was punching him the balls for using it when I saw him next. Wikipedia is good for quick information on a topic, but that is about it.

Wikipedia is good, like you say, for basic, quick-glance information.

They usually source at least some of the stuff they say, so you can use them, but I prefer to just go out and find stuff independent of Wikipedia.

Same with all encyclopedias. Only good for an overviewer and really shouldn't be used for more serious research.

As for the topic, President Obama is a politician which makes him many things. Personally I choose to see him a Speed Racer. HAHA.

the problem with racism is that it is a two way street. until certain people realize that, the problem will continue.

Lucky for us that black people don't actually have the ability to oppress us. That's the thing. From us, racism is just douchey. From them, racism is a response to us abducting them, enslaving them, keeping them as second class citizens, and even today, using topics like the war on drugs to keep many blacks as subordinate citizens and keep them trapped in ghettos. Them being pissed as us is justified.

Being the parent of a child who went through the Oakland, California school district, I beg to differ. He faced constant racist abuse, and to even mention it was then turned around as if WE were the racists. It is an automatic assumption very prevalent among those like yourself who think racism is just a one way street.

I think he's just sorta the standard politician. Can't trust a damned thing he says, and you pretty much know that whatever it is that he's going to do; it ain't gonna be to benefit you.

Trying to be all things to all people pitfall...
He should scuttle the tell-a-prompter, the speech writers, many advisers and speak from this heart, without a fear of being "wrong" at times.

If the man is a socialist, you must have redefined the word because he isn't one...
Such a relative term, socialism.
By and large, Obame is, and he should be proud of it.
Its the tea-bagging conservatives who should be hanging theirs heads in shame.
But here in America, socialism has a negative stigma, hence "progressives".

I didn't say he was or was not. I said IF, note IF, he was, would you be a sheeple for stating it.

same advice I gave pati: it makes you look foolish when you argue against points no one has made.

And yet somehow I can rest easy knowing that nobody will ever try to prevent me from moving into their neighborhood, nor is a cop likely to plant false evidence on me, nor will Jeb Bush systematically prevent me from voting, nor will I ever be accused of stealing my own car, nor will I be hassled by cops for walking down the street.

I'm well aware of how much of an advantage being white is. If you think that someone calling you a bigot is real discrimination, then count yourself lucky, for you have not experienced what it is truly like to be a minority in this country.

1. we didn't abduct anyone. That **** happened 200 years ago. it's about time to get over it.

2. our ancestors didn't abduct them. their own people sold them to "us". you want to blame someone, blame the black africans who sold whitey the slaves in the first place.

3. what the hell does the war on drugs have to do with anything? no one is forcing that crack pipe into anyone's hand and making them smoke it.

Them being pissed at us is no more justified than me hating the Brits because King Edward the Longshanks abused my scottish ancestors.

blaming whitey, instead of owning the problem and doing something about it is the reason many blacks are "trapped in ghettos".

Uh, no, it's not.

What a disgusting and negative attitude to have.
I'd suggest you leave your gated community and ivory tower and walk/talk among the people.

I'd suggest you buy and clue. You know absolutely nothing about me.

All it takes is white people like you making posts like that to show you that racism isn't dead.

:2bigcry: I'm so, so, sowwy. my am afwaid my have huwt somewons widdle feewings by being honest and not taking the bwame for somefing I had absowootwy no contwol over :2bigcry:

and there my friends is the real reason racism still exists today:

If you are white and you do anything other than blame whitey for the troubles in black society/culture, you are a racist.

This is mature behavior on your part.

Try telling that to your child after he has been attacked based on race and nobody at the school was willing to do anything about it because of the races involved.

I'd suggest you get out into the real world. It is obvious to me that YOU are the one who has never been a minority in any situation like my child has. Life in suburbia is peachy, I'm sure, but there is a big world out there outside the comfortable suburbs.
