They all suck, best female singer I know is Megan Washington, she has a beautiful and amazingly versatile voice.
"To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by rights to hand down to them."~ Theodore Roosevelt (Message to Congress, Dec. 3, 1907)
Carrie Underwood is the only one i can stand. All i want out of an artist is a genuine person singing a song they have written about their own feelings none fit the bill.

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it." - Judge Learned Hand
I love the dissonant quality in her voice. The raw emotionality held in it is fascinating. I am not a fan of her style though, her hair looks like the top of a pineapple and she is too thin.
My first choice is Lucia Cifarelli, but she was born in 1970 and is therefore disqualified.

The one radio pop star that I think has a great voice is Pink. Her music is average, but her voice is on a different level compared to those on the list.
I wish she would sing more real rock, Janis Joplin type songs, for instance. That's who she reminds me of.
Edit: Also, she's 31 or 32, so too old for this list.
