Hands down, Star Trek is the single most influential science fiction TV show ever made. A lot of other sci fi wouldn't exist without Star Trek. Not to mention the number of technologies that were influenced by Star Trek. Do you know why cell phones look the way they do? It's because that's how communicators looked in Star Trek. Doors that open by themselves? They got the idea from the USS Enterprise. A lot of scanning techniques used in medical diagnoses? Inspired by Star Trek. Not to mention the political and social theories that arise from Star Trek.

So which one did you see? Keep in mind there've been 10 or 11 of them.

    Richard Hartnell
    Patric Troughton
    Jon Pertwee
    Tom Baker (My personal favorite)
    Peter Davison
Colin Baker (by far, the worst)
    Sylvester McCoy (second worst)
Paul McGann (I barely count him, as he was only in one movie version, and if you count him, you have to count Peter Cushing too)
    Christopher Eccleston
    David Tennant
    Matt Smith

So, 'technically'... 12. 13, if you count Richard Hurndall, who played the part in place of the deceased Richard Hartnell in one of the multi-doctor episodes.

I don't care if it was short lived. Firefly for the win.

Star Trek: The Original Series is a good runner up in my book.

    You're forgetting Peter Cushing.

Battlestar Galactica betrayed itself. Terrible finish.

It went all Old Testament on us (predictable if you watched the show).

But the pilot episode was good enough to be a stand alone movie. Excellent sci-fi.
