Well,. I see other's already mentioned The Twilight Zone, but it really is one of my favorite shows. I watch it all the time before I go to sleep. I own a box set. My favorite episodes are the ones with the more scifi theams than the horror themes, but it's an all around good show.

Also want to add.. although some are debating if the show really belongs here, I would argue that it's most famous episodes were of the scifi genre and not the horror..

but anyhooo all that man/man kissyface was a bit awkward for me, but still a good show. oh and I think Starz picked up Torchwood for another season in the US.

Whereas I feel exactly the opposite. In the previous series, they could do things that were dangerous but they always kept a lighter tone. SGU, like BSG, is relentlessly dark with characters that are dismal and disgusting. There isn't a single character on the show that I'd piss on if they were on fire. They've gone out of their way to make them all obnoxious, backstabbing asshats. I'd much rather have a show where you can experience a range of emotions, not just the darker ones. With no light, darkness is pointless.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

That much is certain. Any time he even looked at someone, The Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) yelled 'Stop it' in a tone like he was chastising a 5 yr old about to reach into the cookie jar.
