Lol, seriously, most of you guys have never drank or smoked pot? I guess I'm the only one on the Debate Politics forum who used to be in the cool crowd in high school and college. I don't smoke pot anymore but I certainly did when I was younger. I did my fair share of drinking on the weekends too. Nowadays I just prefer to have my one glass of wine at night to take the edge off.

I don't even think I personally know anyone who hasn't tried alcohol or pot. Even my grandma, who is the most devout Christian woman ever, has a drink about twice a year, lol.
 
Never done either. Have no intention to.

Neither of these things make you "cool"..

Having said that? I find it is much easier for folks to look down their nose about others that do certain things rather than taking check of themselves.

Depends on my circle of my friends. My Non Muslim friends all drink and do drugs. I haven't tasted alcohol before and don't want to, I've smelled vodka before and it smelled like petrol. How anyone can drink it when it seems more like poison to me. I have no idea.

I don't drink, don't smoke and don't use drugs. Have no interest either.
 
Hey if you have never drank nor smoked pot, more power to you. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's actually good thing, lol. I'm just surprised. Even Jesus drank wine.

What do you mean "cool crowd." I have the notion of "If you aren"t making stupid choices you aren"t cool." From my experience in college, the pot smokers and drinkers are the ones failing the classes and judging everyone else for not "living it up."
 
I'm sick of the notion that people who smoke pot are not cool...I'm sure all of you enjoy your ipods, Steve Jobs founded apple while smoking daily. Ted Turner still smokes daily. Pot doesn't sap your motivation, an unmotivated person who smokes is gonna remain unmotivated...just like a stupid person who smokes pot is going to remain stupid.

Marijuana MUST be legalized, it should NEVER have been illegal.
We need lawmakers to do what is best for people, NOT themselves.

The kind of competition that you envision doesn't happen in a black market. Is there really a trusted drug dealer now? If it was legal you could probably go to stores that you can trust, but that really isn't available as an option to you when everything has to be hidden away.
