I would hit the woman out of principle. Then again, I have very small hands, using force is never my best option. Luckily I have little experience with hitting or being hit. In my recollection it never works out, you either get beaten or you end up feeling sorry for your victim. Verbal abuse never fails though ... at least those who master it ..,
it simply never works out for me in any case.

i would have knocked the crap outta her if i was him

Put that friend of yours in the ring together with a male proffessional boxer and she's most likely done for.
There's a reason why male and female sport competetions are separated, and frankly, that's because women can't compete with men of the same level. It's only natural.

Of course a female proffessional boxer can and might as well kick the crap out of an average untrained dude, but that's not an equal level of training.

Re: Women of DP - I ask you

I said "it depends". I know me, so I know that I would never intentionally hit anyone with any effort to hurt them unless they struck me first or I actually felt threatened and was trying to get a way out of the situation.

However, I have hit some of my male friends, usually with the back of my hand, on the shoulder or in the chest, for their comments or actions. Most I knew would never hit me back and I only did this to guys I know. One treated me like his sister, so I absolutely always expected to get hit back, but I knew that he wouldn't use all of his force against me. Although, there was at least one instance where I came away with a split lip, but it was an accident and I had started it, so I didn't consider it a big deal. There was one incident however, with a different one of my friends who scared the heck out of me while I was standing watch. I felt someone's hand on my leg and I didn't completely trust all the guys in my division, so it startled me. When the guy came up and I seen that it was one of my friends, I hit him on the shoulder with an open hand and told him that he scared the crap out of me. He then punched me in my shoulder pretty hard. It definitely took me by surprise that he had hit me so hard. I could tell he was mad, but so was I. I felt that he should have warned me before he fixed my pantleg (which is what he had been doing) and he didn't think that it should have been that big of deal for me to have hit him. Our other friends intervened and we worked it out, with each of us apologizing.

So, eventhough I expect to possibly get hit back for hitting a guy, if it is one of my friends and we're just playing or I don't actually punch the guy, I completely expect some restraint if he does hit me back. I doubt that I could hurt any of my guy friends even if I punched them, while many of them could hurt me easily with only a half-hearted punch.

I wouldn't get in the ring with e.g., Lucia Rijker, she also fought professional male kickboxers. I think you underestimate being trained, the fitness aspect as well as the ability to do damage.

Yes, of course I expect to be hit back. WTF kind of retarded idiot thinks that being a woman excuses physical violence of any kind? What is this, the 12th century?

Depends on the weight class and level of skill.

But the point I was making was in relation to rosie saying "it isn't possible for women to have the upper body strength that men have".

That's just nonsense. I know men who are weak as kittens and women who are stronger than most men.

Yes I expect to be treated the same. My gender shouldn't excuse me from my actions. Here's an example from my own life, I play in a "co-ed" hockey league, I'm the only chick in the league, and they basically made an exception for me to be able to play in the league. But anyways, I play goalie, and in a game this guy ran me, and I wasn't to pleased about it, so I hit him in the back of my leg with my stick, and he turned around punched me in the face. Granted I have a full goalie helmet on, but he had a hockey glove on as well, so it didn't really hurt me, but it certainly didn't feel pleasant. And I didn't cry and complain that he couldn't hit me cause I'm a girl, I punched him back. Then the ref's came over , broke it up, gave the appropriate penalties, and the game went on. I didn't expect to be treated any differently, and I don't want to be treated any differently. My gender isn't a handicap, and I don't want to be treated like it is.

Yeah course I expect to be hit back. The only men I have hit tho is my brothers and none of them have raised a hand to me

The only person you never hit back imo is your Elders which basically means your parents/grandparents. Yeah, I'd stand there and take a hit from them

Edit: I don't believe so many women in DP voted No. Is there a way to make it public?

Take away the weight class and rules.... add some jello and/or oil and I would get into the wring with her. She wouldn't stand a chance hehehehehehehe.
