Im virtually socialist and would love to meet a star trek libertarian.

BTW. They're not really comparable. Star trek is just FAR to intellectual for a star wars fan.

Of course I realize starwars was made in the 70s but the newer movies should have taken that into consideration.

Sadly, I must agree with you here. Jar Jar just needed to die....................... in a light sabre duel...... by accident or something.

I think the Jedi could of done it and not turn to the dark side, even the force recognizes that Jar Jar needed to be offed.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

I've always thought of Star Trek as being *drum roll please* socialist.

I mean...No money in the Federation, really, free access to education if you pass tests, etc... It seems like what socialists wish for in their fondest dreams.

    The Klingons, not so much.

And, the relentlessly capitalistic Ferengi are portrayed as villains quite often...

Well, I was going to post this video to demonstrate Star War's obvious superiority, but after seeing it, I'm less sure.

I always thought of the Ferengi as the neferious space jews and the klingons as the feirce samurai space negroes.

LOL, that is classic! Gotta give Kirk his props, however....his eye shadow never even got smudged throughout the entire "fight"
