Well, both of them are a lot more fiction than science, but star wars is a better story. If I want real science fiction, I'll read a book.

Well, while George Lucas is absolutely excellent at creating settings and writing stories, he's absolutely horrible when it comes to script-writing. I think he is too beholden to his vision and doesn't know when to allow his work to veer off his creative track.

In the movies, the romance is horrible. But in the Clone Wars, it's not nearly as forced. Then again, that's because George Lucas is only producing it, not writing it. It's a much better show because of it too.

Re: Star Trek or Star Wars?

I really can't answer since I both like and detest aspects of both franchises. As far as I'm concerned, the Star Wars franchise ended in 1984. Nothing Lucas has done since exists. The same is true of Star Trek, other than movies. Nothing done after the original series is real. It's all a figment of your imagination. I'll accept all of the original cast movies, nothing more.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Star Trek is good, but it can't compare to the original Star Wars.

OH! And lets not forget the WORST ACTOR IN A MOVIE award. Hayden Christensen is the worst actor Ive EVER seen. Just horrible. I saw better acting in my local church plays.

Re: Star Trek or Star Wars?

Star Trek outmatches Star Wars technologically in almost every way. One Constellation class starship could lay waste to an entire fleet of star destroyers. In the episode "mirror, mirror" the ISS Enterprise destroyed the entire surface of the Halkan planet, a feat that took "The Empire" a battle station the size of a small moon to best.

and for you guys calling "Star Trek" communist. remember that Starfleet was basically the military branch of the federation. All militaries look like communists to the outside observer. Hell, they had gambling and pleasure planets and green orion slave girl hookers. what did Star wars have???? wookies and ewoks.

Why is Star Trek better than Star Wars??????
