No doubt Khayembii Communique is being filled with a deep sense of inadequacy over the fact that they've failed to murder hundreds of millions of civilians.

Listen, don't feel bad, these days it's less about death and more about fear. You can control way more people if you scare them instead of mowing them down.

Jeez, guys.

Who's trying to control anyone with fear? I'm just not sure how this fits.

This politician in question sounds like a sketchy dude who chooses to participate in reenactments involving Nazis. IMO, that's creepy and a pretty good indicator that he's not someone I would trust to hold office. The reason why I wouldn't trust him is because he voluntarily chooses to associate himself with a person or group of persons that is (rightly) reviled by most of polite society. IMO, Lenin is another example of that type of person.

That doesn't mean that this dude is a Nazi or that Khayemmbi is a Communist, it's just an indication that they're both far enough away from what I would consider the mainstream that I wouldn't want either of them making my laws.

I was talking to Khayembii. I was sarcastically advising them to pursue terror in favor of mass-murder, because while mass-murder might've worked for Stalin, fear's much more powerful and much less violent.

No, but I seriously do enjoy how often Hitler is applied to everything and everyone.
The Tooth Fairy is like Hitler, you know.

Just for the sake of argument - IF Hitler had not made some of the huge tactical mistakes he did - like canceling Sea Lion and before that not advancing on Dunkirk. If he had not invaded Russia in 6/41 or 2 months before had invaded Russia instead of getting misled into the Balkans.

If Rommel had gotten everything he needed in early 1942 . At lest the equivilent of what went into Tunesia after Torch hit NW Africa.

If their Atomic program had been allowed to fully proceed OR if the Luftwaffe had gotten Jets by late 1943.

OR if he knew Enigma had been compromised - Well he would have made it at least a few more years . Stood off the Western Allies and might have been elevated in Statesman status by some just to keep the "Peace"

Couldn't happen - Yes, it could because Human Nature is both inconsistent and cowardly. For every Churchill there are a Thousand Chamberlains.

There is no figure in the Tea Party analogous to Hitler.

As a reactionary right-wing movement, it can be compared to the Nazis. Mostly in terms of how it processes and disseminates information.

Ah so this is like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.

No, it explains why no one should really care that much that some congressional candidate is a history nerd that dresses up as one of the bad guys for a reenactment. Guilt by association is silly.

Honestly he should get a life and understand that his perverse," left wing a ding dong", dont delight everyone the way it does him. We dont for one reason or another feel comfortable with it . I dont know- for some it could be the shape and size of the thing or the way it tastes when its shoved down their throat. Some people or groups may even dislike it because when they bend over they are afraid some well meaning left winger might put it in them gently at first of course, and then become more aroused and cause them considerable pain and anguish and suffering from their phalanx . No I actually think what bothers Mr. Reiner, is that they wont succumb to his unwanted political advances.
