it was sunny and nice. I was close by. ;) its a 24 hr CVS

nah there's not. But Glinda was out of her gourd thinking that the population of garwood meant it was likley the CVS was empty. ;)

I don't think "likely" based on population can be deduced either way. There are so many other things that can come into the equation for whether there might have been other customers or not. That's why we have to base our information on the facts that we were given. If there were other customers around who were unwilling to give the couple money, then that was just as wrong of them as it was for a store employee to not be willing to do so. Just like if the problem wasn't actually the money issue but a prescription issue, then it makes the situation different, and the story really is deceiving. I don't think this is the case however, just because the vast majority of pharmacists will ensure there is a prescription, if needed, for the medication before they would ever ring it up, so the $20/$21+ issue wouldn't have been noticed. But I still blame the pharmacists/clerks/employees more because they could have solved the issue first. They would have provided the quickest solution by just giving her the medication and worrying about payment later. Granted, it most likely wouldn't have caused such national attention, but it could have provided some local good press/reputation for the store. Now, not only is there particular store facing negative attention, but so is the entire CVS chain. Granted, I don't agree with that unless the CVS company says that they agree with what was done if the situation is pretty much as it was reported.
