Woodrow Wilson.

He was right in his earlier writings about the need for the United States government to implement the science of administration to the federal bureaucracy, and we have taken great strides in that. It's important to have government workers doing their jobs that they keep their jobs despite the rotation of elected officials. In that regards, I agree with him.

However, he sent the Marine Corps to Latin America and the Caribbean to help prop up right-wing dictators for the benefit of American business interests; signed into law legislation that allowed him to use the Post Office to censor political dissidents, namely communists, socialists, and anarchists; and issued executive orders that cast out African-Americans from the federal bureaucracy, segregated the U.S. military, and helped promote the renewal of the Ku Klux Klan, especially in the Midwest.

I am not on the far right. Are you willfully ignorant of the facts? Obama has spent drastically more than other presidents. Above, I have provided proof to each one of my claims.

Anyone who votes Obama or George W. Bush is just letting their partisanship override their common sense. They are/were mediocre, but nowhere near the worst we've had.

He wasn't corrupt as much as those he put in important positions were corrupt. Err, that wasn't really Andrew Johnson. That was more Rutherford B. Hayes, who ran for the Presidency after Ulysses S. Grant. Hayes' election was deadlocked because of the interests of the Radical Republicans in the North and the Redeemer Democrats of the South. Hayes, a Republican, ended the deadlock with the Compromise of 1877, in which he agreed to pull out federal troops from the Southern states that were backing Republican state governments and protecting African-Americans in the South. It is after Reconstruction, known usually as Redemption by the Southerners who came to power, that the Jim Crow laws were enacted.

I'm not saying Andrew Johnson wasn't a racist, nor that he was unsympathetic to the racist South; I'm just saying that Jim Crow didn't really occur during his Presidency, but rather quite after it.
