Are White People an oppressed minority?

Are White People an oppressed minority in America?

Same if you're black and born with the silver spoon, money matters more than race in America.

This is what I have been saying for a long time.

I guess it had to come from a liberal who isn't po-po for people to agree.

Everyone knows the 5-0 are inherently racist. Especially the black ones.

What is a silver spoon considered? Also using the word "brat" speaks volumes on you. Considering the kids I know spend most of their time studying instead of partying just so that they can get a B/C in the class. I do not believe you know what it is like when you take an exam and out of the four questions asked you only have enough time to answer three. And all what you can do is cross your fingers and hope that you passed. Do you? The kids are young but they have made many social sacrifices just so that they can pass their classes.

I am talking about these people that are born into money and are somehow "golden" simply because of their last name and bank accounts. I am using the term brats to describe rich folks "born" into money, raised to be lazy and think they never have to strike a lick cause they have a certain last name or because they were born into money.

They are those kinds of kids that can kill someone while driving drunk or shoot, rape someone and never spend much time in lockdown.

I think you know exactly what I meant but in case you did not? I think maybe you will start to understand me now.

BTW, what do you mean by it speaks volumes of me about using word brat?

I LOVE arresting those kinds of people.

It makes my pen-is hard.

Nothing bad.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, because the Boys 'n Da Hood aren't racists at all :rofl

Did you ever see that movie? There's a scene in it with Cuba Gooding Jr and a black cop that was so over-dramatic that I actually laughed during it.

great scene. I thought it was great example of how any black who actually tries to succeed in life (other than rappers and pro athletes) are considered "uncle toms" and derided by other blacks.

I just saw it as stereotyping cops.

well...that too. but they didn't really have to make the black cop so over-the-top condescending and rude now did they?

Well, yeah, they did. That's a stereotype that cops have.

I don't agree with your theory because one of the central themes was about trying make something of themselves instead fo getting wrapped up in the nonsense.

Hell, it ends with two of the characters going off to college.

with the footnote of "doughboy" getting murdered shortly thereafter

Exactly. From that, as well as Lawrence Fishburn's character in general, I didn't get the impression that those who tried to succeed were being viewed as "uncle toms" in that movie.

maybe not the whole movie in general but in the cops scene I think it was. otherwise why not have the white cop be the "bad guy". I got the impression they were trying to say that black cops are more prejudiced against blacks than are white cops.

I often think that black cops feel about "black trash" the way most decent white folks feel about "white trash." That's a pretty truthful portrayal, in my experience. Also, villifying the white cop is just too easy.

I agree. It is hard on adults to understand the pressure kids have today. Kids of middle managers will have a hard time doing better than their parents in today's environment. The next generation doing better is part of the American thinking. So the pressure to get great grades, get great SAT and ACT scores etc may be self imposed but it there nonetheless.

The uncoming generation seem to be a bunch of achievers. Another myth in my view are teachers. We have been very happy with the teaching that our son received till now.

It still seems like a stereotype of cops more than anything about success and uncle toms, to me.

Then, IMO, you would make a poor law enforcer.
Leave the judging to the judge...a very tough assignment at times.

I'd never love arresting anyone, unless I caught some SOB in the act of some serious crime, even then, its a sad thing.
I know I'd make a lousy cop.

You laughed during Boys 'n Da Hood? Isn't that like laughing during the Sunday Easter show of the 10 Commandments or something?:2razz:

I absolutely crack up at the 10 Commandments. The acting makes that one of the world's greatest comedies.

It is like my parents told me. When they graduated from college in the 70s they had a choice of where ever they wanted to work. When I graduate I have to accept what ever company is willing to hire me. But that is the free market, though.

I haven't said anything about judging anyone now have I????
Can you quote me on this. Thanks.

What I enjoy is watching some turd name drop and attempt to bribe, throw blame at law enforcement, and generally try to weasel his/her way out of being charged for something that I or another Officer have probable cause to arrest them on... and they fail to change the Officer (or my) opinion about enforcing said law that they violated.

Pretty much, douchebags who think they can get out of **** because they know someone, they "are" someone, or they think they can buy you out.

When all that fails, they scream about murderers, rapists, drug dealers, etc, all with the dreaded "N" word in front of it, and how you shouldn't be messing with them.

Stupid privledged white kids...

wrong analysis

the percentage of blacks on government assistance is far higher than the number of whites
I think right before the GOP congress forced clinton into welfare reform, the actual number of blacks had caught up to the number of whites in terms of those on assistance but I have no idea what the actual numbers are but the percentages still remain much higher for blacks
A problem in search of a solution.
My solution is to have NO MORE racism.
We are all humans.
Lets ask the poor, why are you poor?
And, for the first time, we must listen.

I really hope you are not truely a cop.
