    Did God Create Perfection?

It is said only a perfect being could create perfection. In what YOU see in people, in life on Earth, in Earth, in the Solar System... the Universe. Did God create perfection?

    Re: Did God Create Perfection?

Logically, it does not compute that a perfect God created this universe. But that is predicated on the notion that God is perfect.

Assuming that God is perfect in all aspects, God's will is therefore perfect. A perfect will is incapable of creating imperfection. Imperfection is defined as with flaws. A perfect will would be without flaws. While this creates restrictions on God that create more logical problems with Omnipotence, that's another discussion. To blame modern imperfect upon Satan is a poor argument as God created everything in the Universe (allegedly). Everything includes Satan. Therefore God, if perfect, would have created a perfect Angel who without imperfection could not have rebelled. Furthermore, by creating a perfect universe, there would be no outside imperfect stimuli to cause a change in a perfect Angel. Therefore, the capacity of perfect beings to change to imperfect would be impossible. Suffice to say, the Abrahamic God does not logically appear to be a perfect being. Or at least sensical.

If our definition if perfection is flawed, then how can we even have this discussion? The base term is undefinable and therefore there is no meaningful path of discussion here.

    Re: Did God Create Perfection?

I believe God created perfect, but with perfection came free will. And thus a perfect creation chose to become imperfect via free will.

Perfection is subjective unless you are describing something which fulfills some quality perfectly. I would find it could only exist in a sense of two and two making four perfectly or something like that. I find nothing perfect about this planet.

But that logically does not compute. Free will includes the capacity to act in imperfect fashions, thereby rendering it imperfect. A perfect will could not grant such capacity as Free Will would be an imperfect trait and thus outside of its capacity. This all relies upon God being perfect which is a rather large assumption.

    Re: Did God Create Perfection?

God's creation of the first man and woman was perfection, however some believe that in giving them feel will the Lord made a mistake,

In a way i agree with that assessment but man's having free will is what makes all things creative possible, such as art, music, scientific exploration, and global exploration and so much more.

When a child is born it is God eyes perfect and as the child grows it quickly comes to choices they must make and those choices are formed based on the influence in which they are raised and the exposure of the attitudes of the parents.

There comes a time as Christians when we have to make a choice to either accept the word of God and give you life to Jesus and in doing so we ask for forgiveness for our sins because we are not perfect and no mortal man is.

Jesus was perfection and continued that perfection until he was on the Cross where the Bible tells us in : Matthew 27:46 Jesus said: My God, my God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me

He was in terrible pain and for a minute was lost in it forgetting his purpose for being her i the first place.

As mortal humans we can only strive to be the best people we can be.

I would add that one needn't be religious to follow the teachings of Jesus as written in the New Testament and the reason is there are words to live by and to try to fallow those teachings we would all be better people and better to each other.

One last thing: At least 21 Religions around the world have at their core precepts is some version of the golden rule which says; Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

If we all followed that one simple idea the world would be a much better place and we could spend an endless amount of money doing things for which we could be proud in all areas of endeavor.

    One of the greatest movie scenes ever made;

Clearly if a God created the universe he isn't a perfect being or thing, and I wouldn't expect him/her or it to be. All the failed solar systems, collapsing stars, black holes and that's just one a universal level. Look on a Earth level and we have Weather phenomona, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Diseases such as cancer and AIDS, mental disorders millons starving to death every year.

I really find it absolutely ridiculous to think a loving and caring God exists.
I use a lot of satire and sarcasm so keep that in mind when reading my posts.
