Know indicates absolute certainty- and so, no, I don't know they dont exist.
    Neither does anyone else.

We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
    The Nicene Creed

I absolutely believe in life after death.

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24

Shush, positivism ignores this logical fact.

I do not believe in life after death. I believe that we get our 'three score and ten' and that's it.
If you build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day.

If you set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

As far as I'm concerned, that's plenty.

I have two polar opposite views on this subject:

    - We go heaven
    - There is no afterwards
    - We are reincarnated.

This is the world we live in, and the world we have to live in. We don't have to worry about the afterlife until we're dead.

I believe that there are many things which combine to create a soul, and that the physical body is one of them. You are no more complete without your body than you are without your free will or without the breath of life or without your memories.

Wouldn't you consider reincarnation a form of 'life after death'?

I'm unsure what to believe. Problem for me, is that I'm not exactly a believer in any "god" - so the temptation for me to say there is some kind of life after death, sort of flies in the face of 'believing". I do wonder if there is simply another dimension that our 'souls' (what else to call it?) migrate to and this would explain the whole 'ghost' and/or 'paranormal' experiences people have. Maybe it's simply another dimension that we can't see or hear normally, but at times those two worlds - the physical we know of and the other unknown dimension - collide - hence bumps with paranormal activity?

Who knows.. I just thought I'd pose the question to see what everyone's thoughts were.
Fool me once, shame on you.
    Fool me twice....shame on me.

I am going to be reincarnated as a pubic louse in Snooki's bush. It's going to be a hairy lifetime.
