Rock, Blues, Folk, Grunge, Jazz, some Indie-Pop, some Middle Eastern, some South American, and I'm sure there's some I haven't mentioned.

I can just about stomach anything as long as there no spitting, screaming, or crying into the mic. That cuts out most rap, Metal/Grunge/Hardcore, Country.

Oh yeah. I'm a showtune girl. Give me a 3 hour drive and a Wicked or Les Miz CD and I'm a-ok.

Grew up with Hip Hop/Rap and that's my love as I also rap myself. I love all good music though. Classic Rock, Metal, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Rock 'n Roll, Blues, House, and more.

The only music I hate is pop and this commercial so-called hip hop you mainly hear on the radio these days.
I don't like country as a rule but love Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr.

stuff I like

classic (ie the guys could actually play their instruments) rock

such as Led Zep, Traffic, Allman brothers, Uriah Heep, early Deep Purple, Hendrix, Tull, Who,

British Electric Folk

Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and various versions thereoff such as Richard Thompson, Sandy Denny etc

Some of the US folk singers

early Baez, and Tim Hardin

The Clash-they are so much more than punk or even world beat

of the newer stuff

REM, U2, SoundGarden and some Metallica

real bluegrass and folk-cannot stand country though Emmylou Harris has one of the best voices going

Dream Theater!

All kinds, but my fav is thrash/metal.

Anything but most country and all rap. Classic rock and classical music both hold places in my heart.

I'd love to listen to some Chopin and Rachmaninoff, then top it off with some Jimi. There's just something about the combo of the Minute Waltz and All Along The Watchtower that gets me amped.

In no particular order (and off the top of my head):

Miles Davis
Billy Joel
Paul McCartney
Aerosmith
ACDC
Led Zeppelin
The Rolling Stones
Queen
The Police
The Doors
Hall And Oates
Prince
Michael Jackson
Janis Joplin
Woody Guthrie
Elvis Presley
Johnny Cash
Al Green
Sam Cooke
Otis Redding
Curtis Mayfield
The O'Jays
Roy Orbison
Pink Floyd
The Clash
Depeche Mode
Tears For Fears
Elton John
Jimi Hendrix
Teddy Pendergrass
The Isley Brothers
LL Cool J
The Temptations
The Four Tops

If the song is good I don't give a damn about the genre.

This, pretty much.

Though there are some genres that I will never enjoy. Like jazz. Also, literally every single genre that Redress listed.

Grind, death, sludge, crust, hardcore, punk, skate, thrash, industrial(especially industrial metal).

I mean, Christ. It's like you stole Satan's iPod.

The gods made Heavy Metal and they saw that it was good. They said to play it louder than Hell; we promised that we would.

That said, I strongly prefer highly technical instrumentals and clean operatic vocals. It's usually pretty hard to find music that combines both.

I personally would like to believe Satan listens to that which destroys man's soul. For examples, see Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, and Avril Lavigne.

Personally, I mostly listen to rock, both classical and newer - although the newest stuff isn't as good.

I also listen to classical music from time to time.

Don't like pop except perhaps some that contain a large rock influnce.

Can't really get into Rap, although some of the rap/rock combo songs (or something) I like.

I don't really like country at all, except if it has a decent rock aspect to it. More likely rock with a country influnce, really.

I like the combos of rock and classical.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I like my rock with some metal in it. Not too little, not too much.

Anyone get the trend towards rock music here? :D

Yeah, that about covers it.

There isn't much music to which I don't listen.

I've started getting into techno. Progressive and Tech House, minimal etc.

Ive sortof outgrown Marilyn Manson and NIN and Korn and Combichrist and Lamb of God and moved on to higher realms of boring repetitive techno that elevates me to newer psychological heights.
