A lot of people are simply replying by saying it's their right to do this. Well obviously, but what is your opinion about it? People should be speaking out against this kind of thing. I'm not saying it should be stopped but people should be letting them know that it's not cool and that they don't represent all Americans. I agree that the media played a big role in blowing this out of proportion, but the fact remains that the world now knows about it and how other Americans decide to speak up about it (or not) will reflect on the nation.

Simply saying that it's their right to do it seems rather apathetic to me. Do you care that this kind of hate exists in your country or not?

Maybe some of us are just burned out and apathetic.

We have an Imam wanting to build a mosque of tolerance that few want in that location. They don't care about our feelings. Yet we are suppose to bend over backwards to condemn one lousy so called Pastor because he's doing something stupid? Why don't Muslims just tolerate him and realize that most Americans aren't like that dumbass. When are we going to be shown tolerance? I don't see many Muslims bending over backwards to condemn Islamic terrorists who want to kill us. This kook just wants to burn some books. He should be ignored.

The only thing I am concerned about is the repercussions this act will have on our troops in the ME. If any harm comes to them as a result of this idiot trying to make a statement, I hope he knows that he is responsible for it and hopefully he'll burn in hell for it.

The connection is way too attenuated to be much of a concern. The bad guys are going to do what they do whether Rev. Numbnuts in Bum****, Florida burns Korans or not.

I *am* apathetic about it. It's a book. WTF do I care if some idiot decides to burn one of his own books? Am I really supposed to give a ****? Why? People burn garbage all the time, should I go monitor whatever it is that they're burning to make sure that they're not burning a book?

I really, honestly, do not care what this guy does. He has some paper in a binding that he's doing to toss on a fire. Big deal. It's not even newsworthy and I cannot believe that the press is going on about it the way they are. It's just retarded. He's not hurting anyone. He's not destroying anyone's property but his own. Why should anyone in the world give a **** about his little campfire?

But he's not responsible for any violence. Individuals are responsible for their own actions. If some ****wad in Iran kills someone, this guy in Florida who burned some paper thousands of miles away hardly made him do it.

No, I'm going to burn The Bible in hopes I can mitigate damages.

I agree. It's not like he plans to draw a politically incorrect cartoon.
