Where do you WISH to Live?

Go to Thread Tools and you can add a poll. I accidentally hit submit without adding a poll once and someone told me to do that. It worked.

I also like New Orleans, Galveston, Corpus Christi, and Florida.
I could probably live any of those places, if I had to.
But seeing as how those are the only places I've ever been, besides my own hometown... it makes me wonder if there are other places in the world I'd like even better, that I just haven't seen yet.

Oh and Vancouver, British Columbia Canada is nice too.

I'm happy here in DC for now, but I think I'd be happy in any well-educated, large-ish city that is a major technology hub. There are about six places in the country that meet that criteria IMO.

1. Washington, DC
2. Boston/Cambridge, MA
3. Research Triangle, NC
4. Austin, TX
5. Silicon Valley, CA
6. Seattle, WA

If we're talking globally...I've always wanted to live in Central Europe for a year or two (especially the Czech Republic, Hungary, or Croatia). Japan would be cool too. If it was for a permanent relocation, I'd probably want to live somewhere culturally similar to the US. Vancouver and Toronto are nice. I've heard lots of great things about Sydney, Australia as well (although I've never been there).

I like living in Georgia. I hope to move to the north side of Atlanta.

If I had to live in a city it would be in one not too big and not too small, with plenty of history, culture and nightlife, but easy to get out of into great countryside. Glasgow and Newcastle in the UK, Bordeaux or Marseilles in France, Berlin's a great place too. Madrid or Seville in Spain, Izmir in Turkey, Copenhagen or Stockholm. I like Chiang Mai in Thailand and Melbourne in Oz. I think I could probably live in any of those cities. My experience of the US is small, but I found DC a very manageable size. Huge metropoli are insufferable. Paris, London, NYC, LA, Bangkok, Istanbul are all just too exhausting for anyone over the age of 40.

Weather-wise, San Fran has always sounded pretty great. I'm content with NY though.

The test told me to live in different cities in Florida, Texas, Arizona or South Carolina. Although many of the ones listed were too small. I said I wanted to live in a big city.

Anyway, if I could I would like to live in the US, or Australia because it's warmer. But other than that (and higher wages) I prefer Auckland.

Maaaaate! Come to north west Queensland - half of New Zealand is up here making a mint!! I live within driving distance of here

I'm happy here, though if I could, I'd love to move to to North-West Victoria, specifically Mildura, I love it there.

Never been to Mildura, but I did love north-east Victoria when I visited a few years back, particularly a great little town called Beechworth. I could definitely live there.

Daylesford was pretty nice too.

Mildura's completely different, it's semi-arid farm land on the Murray river, probably not the best place if you like cold weather and green hills, but I used to go on holidays there a lot when I was a kid, and I love the area, I love the bush along the Murray, the desert sand hills that are a short drive away, and all the native wildlife.

So you had to give them your name and address to get the results?

I would like to live in the northwest, ideally Portland, Seattle, or Salt Lake City.

Noodle, if you PM me the poll options quick(next 10 minutes), I will try and get them added.

I am moving to a town outside Atlanta soon, and looking forward to it, so hopefully that is going to be it.

really? congratulations!

North Dakota is just fine with me. A secondary home for me was always Montana.

I wouldn't mind living in northern Maine. I love New England but having lived in Massachusetts it's too congested.

That's a part of the World I've never seen but have always wanted to, especially the Maine coastline.

As I posted earlier the Philippines is my first choice.

Now as a second choice, Ireland.

At some point we're probably going to have to evacuate New Orleans for some disaster or another. Costa Rica has a lot of American retirees. I'd live on a Pacific beach far away from all the nuclear fallout in the Big Easy.

I'm leaning towards the Federation of Damanhur at the moment.

It looks so trippy.

I feel sorry for anyone not living in Australia

I have met a lot of Austrailians here at hostels and most of them have been away from Australia for years. So I would imagine it is not such a great place to live in because it is so far away from everything.
