I agree. Oddly enough I agree with you 90% of the time.
Alas Im not truely sure WHAT would be on Becks board. Im just soooooooooo tired of this shill performer. The guy seems to be well liked and able to pull off what the republican party needs and that is misdirection. Get the Tea Party to believe he is not with the republican party.... but lead the masses TO the republican party. Maybe I notice this because of my 15+ years of corporate sales and strategy. Anyhow its marketing genius. Karl Rove is a marketing master.

Read the post I responded to though. That connection was not even vaguely made.

The problem with this whole question is that it really is impossible to answer. The issues of MLK's day are not the issues of today. Trying to draw comparisons can only lead to mistakes. With civil rights being on a whole different level, what he might see as nuisance issues compared to the problems of his day, he could very well be latched onto another issue, maybe abortion, maybe gay issues, maybe labor issues. Who knows.

Clearly social programs are also unconstitutional. MLK's stance in favor of these collectivist socialist handouts marks him ultimately as an enemy of American freedom.

Discrimination against people on race = bad. BUT, if a private person chooses to conduct his business only with a selected race, that's how he's expressing his freedom in a country that is supposed to be free. Restricting the invidual's freedom violates his civil rights. Period.

That's that. When, however, the government, which has a lawful monopoly on the use of force and the responsibility to act in all the people's interests, the government should not be allowed to discriminate.

The people are one group, the government is another. The Civil Rights laws and the silly notions of "social justice" want to pretend that the people should be constrained by the same rules the government is supposed to be shackled with. And that ain't the case.
Well, THERE we go! I was wondering when you were going to be around to take a big fat **** on one of the nation's most prolific activists.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

Would depend a lot on what Glenn Beck was "feeling" on the day. After all in Glenn Beck world, a hero can easily turn into a villain and back in pretty much the same sentence.

And isn't he in some kind of uber military uniform on the cover of one of his books? I glanced at it in disgust at an airport bookstore a while back. It looked possibly Russian or Stasi of some kind.

I'm sure he's an admirer of his work for racial equality. Hell, if you weren't an admirer of that, you'd probably not get very far.

However, I'm sure he is NOT an admirer or Dr. King's beliefs in what should be done to the American economy.

What is Beck's chalkboard? What does it mean to "be on Beck's chalkboard?"

    Can't answer the question.

What show did I watch in the past, or what has Beck been smoking

Beck has the opposite opinion of the majority of MLK's on most subjects
If what you say is true, I guess beck should move him from his place of honor on the chalk board.

Wrong. He doesn't agree with everything about the Civil Rights. He thinks they deserve better.
