Needless to say, good thing I didn't actually get tangled in it as there weren't many people on the beach at the time and my wife can't swim... and for the record, I prefer tris with the swim leg in a lake or river...
I ****ing hate jellyfish with a passion. Not so much the big ones, because they're easy to see and avoid. It's those little tiny buggers that swarm all around you that you cannot see and avoid really. The ones that are so damn small, they slip right down inside your wetsuit. The ones that, when you're in the water with them, feel like a 100 bees stinging you all at once, all over your body.

Jellyfish like Lion's mane jellyfish are almost mesmerizing to watch underwater, and easily avoidable. But those little tiny buggers... GRRRRRRRRR

To keep you off the beach. Beaches suck anyway. Hot, sunny, burning sand, the ocean is full of animal piss and poo. **** that! Unsanitary bastards.

Yeah. We should kill all those ****ing beaches too, for being so unsanitary. That will teach them proper respect! 'Course, I'm not sure how you'd kill a beach, exactly....

.... really hard beach slap, maybe....

No just send all the fattys there and skinny people stop going. The sand will get crushed and the water will begin to smell worse than it already does. Then when the beaches miss the skinny people that don't make the beaches suck it will clean up their act and skinny people will return.

Re: Should killer sharks be killed.

    All sharks are "killer sharks".
    All sharks kill to survive.

No shark should be killed for attacking humans, since when this happens it is almost always a mistakes. The shark gets mixed up, thinking that we are prey, and it attacks. Most of the time, after the attack, it leaves when it realizes that the human is not a seal or fish. Sharks are extrememly important to marine ecosystem. The shark should be caught and removed to another area at most. If people don't like it, don'e swim where there are sharks. Idiots. Jeez...

A shark is just an animal, but still we shouldn't be so callous towards random sharks and we should be mindful of the effects our fishing practices have on the population.
I am hardly an expert on finning so I may very well be wrong, but my understanding is that the finners fin the shark and then release it back into the ocean ALIVE. But because it can't swim, it quickly becomes food for some other marine animal.
