it will, even though he had the right stance on this. Most Americans are not intelligent enough to realize that he was doing his job by protecting a constitutional right.
I use a lot of satire and sarcasm so keep that in mind when reading my posts.

I think that if any politician gets hurt from the mosque controversy it will be Bloomberg. November will most be affected by the economy/unemployment.
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This issue alone would only hurt his standing with anti-muslim bigots.

Notice in other circumstances we must not offend Muslims but that is not being said here. This issue is even dividing the Muslim community.

Funny how Muslims have no problem but a Christian church that was destroyed on 911 has a problem.

Ground Zero Islamic Mosque Moves Forward, Christian Church in Limbo - HUMAN EVENTS

The battle raging over the Ground Zero mosque is bringing new attention to another, less publicized controversy involving a house of worship in Lower Manhattan.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, which once sat right across the street from the World Trade Center, was crushed under the weight of the collapse of Tower Two on September 11, 2001. St. Nicholas was the only church to be lost in the attacks, and nine years later, while City of New York officials are busy removing every impediment to the building of the Cordoba mosque two blocks from the site, St. Nicholas’ future remains unclear.

But for everything he screws up, and that means everything he does, he alienates more voters. He's been so effective at alienating voters he's now cutting into his support from the Dumocrats themselves. He's setting the stage for a Hillary prmary victory in 2012.
whe you put forth crap, you ought to put forth proof. but i'm guessing you have none.

61% know they have a RIGHT to build it.
64% say they shouldn't build it.
When Obama back tracked Sat. he said they had a right to but he wasn't going to comment on the wisdom of it.
Well, duh, any grade school kid could figure out they have a right to build it.
If the Imam was serious about building bridges he would repect the majority of Americans (including moderate Muslims) who think it's a bad idea.
I'm not sure how much bigotry there is toward Muslims, but the building of that Mosque is not going to improve relations any.(just my opinion)

The left would be screaming bloody murder about the seperation of church and state if tax-payers were funding travel around the world to get funding for this church.
Yea I know, I think it's regulations and red tape bogging down the rebuilding and not funding. just sayin'...

First of all, let's look at an actual map to put this in perspective, courtesy of the Village Voice.

That's a couple blocks away from Ground Zero. I bet that within that same radius, there are at least 20 churches and synagogues. So why is this a problem? Muslims don't have the same religious freedom that Christians and Jews have?
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan
