I have a blueberry bush, a raspberry bush, figs, a peach and apple tree. Having access to fruit in the summer rocks

The blueberry bush is 4 years old and this year we had to put a few bags in the freezer.

    Wicked, I'm jealous.

What variety of blueberries and raspberries do you have?

Ok, well my suggestion for raspberries, if you decide to expand your stock, is Dorman Red.
They were specifically cultivated to grow in the southern heat.
The only downside to them is their canes aren't erect () and have to be trellised.

I had great results with these and no problems with disease or blight.

My wife is the one who planted them and eats them, so I am not sure. They are too tart for me.

I guess that makes me the perfect wife.
Ever try growing your own grapes?

Nope. I think next on the list is more apple trees. My goal is to be able to send my sons out in the morning and let them "graze" until dinner during summers

Before you plant them, go to the county extension office (an arm of the UGA agriculture department) and get the recommended spray guide, it's free.

Apples need a lot of spraying, they get blight and disease very easily from all the years of genetic homogenization.

That's awesome! I remember when we lived in Nevada, the children's home we lived in had a lot of property and they had all kinds of fruit trees. pommegranates, pear, apple, fig. We'd stay outside all day playing and snack on fruit when we got hungry. Never had to go inside. Plus it was super fun busting open those pommegranates. LOL

See having your kids graze rocks. I wonder if Pommegranates would grow around here.
