You also don't have a right to contract with anyone who doesn't want to contract with you.

    Why must freedoms be balanced?

    Wow.

Major leap in totally disconnected logic.

A man is free to associate with whoever he wants, unless he's in business, then he's forced to associate with anyone who feels like it.

If I own a house for rent, I either have the freedom to choose who I rent it to, using criteria of my own choosing, or I am a propertyless slave forced to operate the property at the whims of the owners.

    Ain't no middle ground.

    Free.

    Not Free.

If a dress maker is selling wedding gowns, there's no reason she has to accept as a customer some obnoxious three hundred pound bride just because the broad walked into her shop and has green. The service the seamstress is providing is one of MUTUAL agreement and choice.

If someone dislikes another, the other isn't losing freedom when the first doesn't want to do business with them.

He has the freedom to find another purveyor.

Life is that simple. So put your machine guns down and stop trying to put slave chains on everyone.

If I decide I don't want to sell you a widget because you're black/latino/liberal/tall/smart/right-handed/mean/Irish, how has that "restricted your freedom"?

Freedom does not include the right to contract with anyone who you wish to contract with.

a freedom that requires someone else to act affirmatively is not a real freedom--it is an entitlement and not properly considered a right.

It's called discrimination, it's illegal, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
