NO

NO! The woman is an idiot forl thinking that.

Beats me, how the heck should I know.

I voted no. I do however think they should give equal coverage to all political candidates because I am sure that during the last election many people were probably like "Who the **** is Bob Barr, Dennis Kucinich or some other candidate. It seems like the media steers people to their candidates.

The NEWS media shouldn't be friends to anyone.

That's what retarded shows like The View and Oprah are for. (Don't bother me with a list of your favorite Fox or MSNBC etc shows, okay? The rule still holds.)

NEWS is supposed to be both objective and as comlete as possible.

Hell no.

I want to see equally intensive and penetrating investigative reporting on each an every candidate.

Teams of reporters, exclusively devoted to digging up every last tidbit on each and every political figure.

Yes. The news media should work closely with the establishment, including politicians running for office.

Angle should be an embarrassment, but this is the conservatives, who are also an embarrassment, IMO.
The election may be interesting.

No the media should not be friends. They should be non-biased, honest, truthful and independent. But they are not. They are admitted rabid liberals.

Maybe that's why Sharron Angle has been going to Fox News to much... they clearly are her friend with the amount of endorsements she's been getting from them. Fair and balanced my ass.

No news network should EVER endorse a candidate. Report their opinions and history, ask them tough questions, allow them a chance to defend themselves, and let the people decide for themselves. Now THAT is fair and balanced.

No but that didn't stop FOX News. The first guy to interview Bush for Fox for example was married to one of Bush's 2000 campaign advisors, and in fact they palled around and talked about the "good ole days" before the interview started.

It's important to recognize the difference between actual news reporting and the entertainment part of Fox. Two very different things.

The "news media" can do whatever the hell it wants. If people don't like it, they can change the channel.

I don't think the "news media" should move together, as a single entity, anyways. If one person on one news station is "friends" with certain politicians, and another one on another station is super harsh on those same politicians, then we have competition, which is a good thing. Of course, this is part of why elitists hate Fox; it deviated from the elite entity known as the media to form some semblance of individuality.

Not that it really matters, in the end. With any luck, the concept of the "news media" will be obsolete within the next decade or two.

Is there any chance she was being sarcastic?
I mean, Obama is a prime example of being friends with the media. Ed Shultz was just bragging about his recent visit to the WH. I know Maddow and Obermann have been guests there. His only critics are Fox news and talk radio. He is friends with all other media outlets. He avoids anyone who might ask tough questions and has even been caught planting questions if memory serves me right. He tells us to read Huffington post and turn off Fox.
Maybe Angle just wants the same benefits Obama was allowed during his campaign and still enjoys today.
P.S. I have to give kudos to CNN. They seem to have toned down their love affair with Obama lately. Great to see that.

Fox however are geniuses at making sure the two go together like peanut butter and jelly, and that you get a helping of both at all times.

Given the things she has said, there no chance she was. If she was actually being sarcastic during an election campaign, then she is just plain dumb.

You don't remember when the top conservative radio talk show hosts visited the WH when Bush was President?

Do mean when they constantly talked about Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers? That's what Sharron wants??

I actually think she may be a bit Kookie and a disappointment. However, anything would be better than more Harry Reid.
Yes, I remember Bush having talk show hosts to the WH. He even had Rush over for his birthday. What I don't remember is talk show hosts giving him a pass when he wouldn't seal the borders and he started spending like a liberal. They didn't get tingles running up their legs over him. I also don't remember Bush demonizing the liberal media the way Obama does the conservative media.

Wright and Ayers??? I think you just proved the point. Wright and Ayers were not covered by the Obama MSM.
In fact Journolist suggested calling anyone a racist if they tried to bring up the subject of Wright. I don't think Ayers even made it to the point anyone was worried. He wasn't covered at all except as "just a guy in the neighborhood" by the MSM. Those who didn't watch Fox or listen to talk radio knew nothing about them.

Really? Every single time Bush was defending something he would say "this isn't as bad as the Liberal Media is making this out to be", he would also tie liberal media with people in Hollywood a lot. Also this "anything but" way of thinking is dangerous. You would rather a lady that compares herself to Jesus and Moses be in the senate than a guy that actually has some idea of what he is doing, even if you don't agree with it really? The lady doesn't want to ever answer any questions, what in the hell is she going to do when she actually has to care, curl up in a ball and suck her thumb?

LOL! Are you serious? If you have you nose in front of Fox, how would you know?

Liberal journalists didn't "kill" the Rev. Wright story -- it was covered more than 6,000 times | Media Matters for America

Do you remember the speech Obama made in Philadelphia Feb 2008 that was covered everywhere?

I've noticed an interesting trend in people here that don't know how to flip over the channel during commercials, they think because one channel tells them that the other channel isn't covering it, it makes them instantly right. The same people saying this are the ones that says you shouldn't trust everything you hear on TV. Quite the conundrum.

But they are not. They are admitted rabid liberals.

Except for Fox, they're rabid conservatives.

Ideally, the news media would be honest, unbiased, and asking difficult questions to everyone, so that we could learn what our future leaders are all about. I don't really expect that to happen though.

The irony in this post is not measurable by current technology.

chickie so then why doesn't she go on Good Morning America, or Meet the Press, or Newshour on PBS? She afraid someone is going to ask her what her favorite magazines are and she'll blurt out "Highlights"?

I want to know what Sharron Angle meant when she talked about Second Amendment Remedies on the Lars Larson radio program. That would be interesting to hear.
