If you don't know what The View is, it was created by Barbara Walters (I believe). It's a panel of 4-5 women: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Sheperd, Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. They discuss "Hot Topics": politics, celebrities, fashion, etc.

Obama is going on the show this week. Will this have a positive, negative or no impact on his approval ratings with the American people?

I don't really think it will affect his ratings. I highly doubt the View will ask any tough questions or bring anything of substance to either boost or negatively impact Obama's approval ratings.

Agreed, but I don't see the audience that watches The View being all that interested in hard questions. I would say they're probably more wired to the emotional side. I predict he'll tell many cutesy stories about his kids and Michelle.

If The View has any serious impact on anything, then I think the world is in serious trouble.

Maybe I am old-fashioned, but, IMO, these shows are beneath the dignity of the Office....

I say no impact. I seldom watch, but will that day. I want to see Joy Behar fawning all over him. I also want to see if he acts differently toward Hassleback since she is the only Conservative. I'm sure she'll be respectful, because that's just the way she is, but I wonder if I'll be able to detect any distain from him.
This will be his third time on there but the first time as president.

It'll just be to cater to the sub-par intelligence housewife demographic. All you'll see is Sherry drooling on him and Joy Behar having a hyper-liberal circle jerk because she's about as far left as Rosie, and about as fugly too.

Poor Hasselbeck. Her teeth will grind.

Fox is doing what it does best, making Obama look like a bad person.

FOXNews.com - Obama Missing Historic Boy Scout Jamboree for Fundraisers, 'View' Taping

I knew this article would incite a massive hate fest in the comment section, I'll leave you with some just of the FIRST page.

Maybe if the Boy Scouts would march and chant praising Obama the messiah like school students did during the 2008 Campaign, he would show up instead of taping with the Queens of Stupid.

As the mother of one of those 45,000 scouts I can say I an not surprised in the least and both myself and my 13 year old son are gratful he won't be there.

As a father of two scouts, I'm wondering why anyone would want him there in the first place...

I don't see the big deal. Obama doesn't need to follow tradition if he doesn't want to. Perhaps we'll have a new one and future presidents will make the daytime talk show rounds while in office.

No way man, next stop is Maury Povich.

Personally, I've never watched the view.

Don't intend too, either.

So, probably, it will only effect my personal views of Obama indirectly, in that any statements of an interesting nature will be discussed on this forum, and if I see em'....

Overall?

/shrug Who knows?

Well, a great many of his supporters don't have day jobs, so I'd say it will have a positive impact.

It was an idiotic, desperate attempt to win females. It did not work. We despise him more than ever. He is a fraud.l

You do not speak for all the women in this country.

I voted positive for the following reasons

the people that already see him has positive will continue too

the people that were on the fence, he may sway some of them but I dont think he'll lose any

the people that see him negative will still continue to do so

IMO an interview is an interview and if its a show that has a long standing and or has some political base i see no problem with it and he certainly isnt the first president to do so and wont be the last

No, it means I think you're hilarious.

Besides, I can't give you an answer, you didn't ask me a question.
