it might well be-but I never said all blacks are racist

the question was-did obama have more racist supporters than Palin and I believe the answer is yes. I never heard of anyone who said they voted for Palin due to race-I heard plenty of people say they voted for Obama because he was black

Racism and sexism are of a similar strain, and I do recall a movement of cougars, panthers, or some other jungle cat who wanted Clinton because she was female than moved on to advocate for Palin.

Also, I know of people who voted against Obama because of his race. One does not have to be "for" something because of race, one can be against as well.

But there was definitely people who voted against Obama based on his skin color. At best it was a nonfactor, more likely it was a detriment.

1. It's "cool" to dislike her.
2. She did say some really stupid things (but who hasn't?)
3. She talks funny.
4. She quit her job as governor.
5. She's still supporting John McCain.
6. She's a Glenn Beck fan.

I wouldn't vote for her in the primary unless there was absolutely no other TRUE conservative or libertarian who I agreed with more. I just don't see her as being ready for the job.

1: I suppose
2: Not near as many smart and witty things I've heard from her.
3: I like it. But I see how it would bother some.
4: She left for good reasons and she left the State in better condition than when she took office.
5: Makes my skin crawl,... but what else could she do? Throw him under the bus?
6: Aren't we all!

Is she ready for the job?

That (to me) is less important than "can she put together an administration" that can not only "handle the job" but apply Conservative values and take the country in a direction (I feel) it needs to go.

And, I believe she can.

It's as likely an explanation as blacks are racist.

lol thats a good one, love the sarcasm
on a side note
new voters made up 11% of the total votes anyonw know the precentage of new voters in 04?

11% ;)

Thats a very good question Chuz. Ultimately, I think the answer goes back to the attitude that a person has towards research and science. For example, I will take global warming as I am neutral on the issue. The proponderance of evidence suggest the global warming is a phenomenon that is actually happening and represents a threat to this country, even if not an immediate one. Someone like Palin, I believe, would categorically deny it as anti business, no matter how strong the evidence was. I don't think this is as true with someone like Obama or H Clinton.

Palin is a Conservative and an environmentalist (hunting, fishing and prospecting),...

That's a very un-usual combination,... especially in a woman,.. and even more so in a woman politician.

I am as sceptable as any about "man made global warming" but even I have a threshold (and I am confident that Palin does too) where I would be able to find compromise and direct independant fact finding comissions to base my policy decisions on.

The temperature will speak for itself.

Are you saying that she's a Neo-Con Conservative or a true dyed in the wool Barry Goldwater conservative or Jeffersonian Liberal?

Why did you bring up her gender? We're supposed to be an equal society where race and gender play no role.

It appears to me that you are attempting to prove a statement Turtle never made false.

If I am correct, it is impossible for you to either succeed or fail.

A suggestion.

Use spell-check, and perhaps a grammar/writing guide, as your writing style is confusing at times, both for those who support and those who oppose your statements.

Not to mention, it makes you look less intelligent that you may actually be.

Much like Sarah Palin may have / Bush II has issues with speaking.

There, I compared you to not only Sarah Palin, but former Pres. Bush.

No offense intended, I hope you actually take my suggestions in mind.

I Think Palin is (as Glen Beck is) more along the lines of a Reagan Conservative.

I bring up her gender because I f this country is ever to have a woman President (great Role Model for my daughter),... I would like that woman to be someone like Palin or Condi Rice.

Cougars? cool. you might be right about that and you are probably right that some people voted against Obama because he's black,

but no matter what anyone says-Palin's far cuter than anything on a presidential ticket in my lifetime!!!

Explain, please.

She's a typical Neo-Con and she has no problem with increasing the size of the government. Give me a Ron Paul conservative that actually talks about reducing the size of the government with a clear cut plan on accomplishing it.

On The Issues

Still though...Between Palin and Clinton, which would you choose?

I had to go with Palin, as Clinton was the greater of the two evils.

Something I hate about most of the votes I cast, I'm often voting for the lesser of two (or perhaps more) evils.

I'd rather eat razor blades with A1 Steak Sauce then to vote for either one of them.

Can you point out what exactly on she voted for that you do not like?

And define "neo-con" for me.

You clearly have wood for Ron Paul,.... But he's not on the poll for this thread.

And define "neo-con" for me.

Neo-Cons are defined by the words of their founder Irving Kristol. He said many times in his life that a neo-con is someone that is happy with the New Deal and with the welfare given out by the state. Not surprising since Irving Kristol, like many of the progressive movement, were communists. He was a Trosky-ite communist when he was younger and never publicly divorced himself from communism.

So, if in some insane scenario you were forced on pain of death to choose one or the other, you would choose death?

And what's so bad about A1 Steak Sauce?

You asked and I answered as best I could on why I would eat razor blades with A1 Steak Sauce over voting for either one of them.

Nothing, I love A1 so it'll make the razor blades taste halfway decent.

Its a message board, IMO it would be near impossible to be offended LMAO
and I already succeed in proving his statement false and how he supported it by referring to the 95%

And my problem is my typing and multitasking, nothing else. Also I couldnt care less, if some one ones to judge intelligence on typing alone they are free to do so LOL

Thanks for the advice though its dually noted ;)

Yeah most of the blacks who voted for Obama seriously studied the issues.

Why study the issues if you just vote out of party loyalty anyway?

Republican partisans, on the other hand study the heck out of those issues.

Then, they vote for their party, just like Democrat partisans do, even if they're running Beelzebub.

nobody is going to eat razorblades.... hey i wonder if hillary knows that she is ahead 25 to 14 over palin in the race here. a lot of people would like to see bill as first lady

Having seen the thieving that went on from the White House after Clinton was defeated by Bush in 2000.
After seeing Palin cleanse house in Alaska before she resigned her position as Governor, I would in spite of her stupidities ever since, have to give her my vote over a vote for a known thief.

what thieving, please?
