None of the above. I tend to get my news from the internet in places like news.google.com and other software aggregation sites. I suspect this is increasingly true for everyone, except old people.

Thanks. I'm betting their ratings are so high because 35-45% of Americans are conservative. But that still doesn't make Fox News fair and balanced. Daily news is usually fine, the rest is clearly biased. But even the daily news chooses sides sometimes, though so does CNN.

And unfortunately being a moderate or independent network wouldn't guarantee followers. But at any rate I hope CNN moves closer to the middle.

I'm curious what CNN and MSNBC ratings were during the heart of the Bush administration.

None of the above. Except maybe once a year. One of my friends downloads Rachel Maddow, so I occasionally see her, though. So, whatever one she is from.
You can never be safe from a government that can keep you completely safe from each other and the world. You must choose.

I don't know. I wonder if it's as easy to explain as opposition to the present administration. I think you're percentages are on the low side, though, unless you consider independents completely neutral.

PBS is similar, but the tax support is probably much less. Maybe this is a better way of doing things. MSNBC seems to be mostly, if not 100% commentary...This is not so good.

I was curious if the at the time administration would effect which news channels people like to watch. I only got into politics about 4 years ago so I wasn't following Fox News or CNN during the majority of the Bush administration. My thought was that people tend to be more drawn to negative stories... controversies, failures, etc... and given that Fox News is obviously tipped toward the conservative side, I'd think some people would be drawn to a network that had more of a criticism approach to the Bush administration during the time. I could be completely wrong of course... it was just a thought rattling around in my head. And given that I wasn't following politics at the time, I honestly don't know how Fox News approached the Bush administration.

And yes, I do consider Independents separate from conservatives, though obviously Independents can hold conservative opinions. However if they are predominantly conservative, they are no longer independent IMO.
