Yeah, I know. But you'd think there would be a little more of a agree to disagree type thing. Or maybe thats a little too far reaching for religious beliefs?

I would say its too far reaching for ideology in general.

Incompatible ways isn't quite right. Both Christians and Muslims think of him as the Messiah. There may be minor differences, but fundamentally the views are very similar. Most major world religions, are in fact, very similar. If only the followers would open their views a little and see that.

I don't think one side seeing Jesus as God and the other seeing the idea of Jesus being God to be a horrible blasphemy is a minor difference.

Pretty much all the details of Christ are the same between the Bible and the Qur'an. Christians believe him to be the son of God and Muslims believe he was chosen by God. While Christians believe he was resurrected from death and rose to heaven, Muslims believe he rose to heaven without death. Both believe he will return to combat the Anti-Messiah. The details of his birth and life are basically the same. So, while there are differences, the greater body of belief is the same. Overall, I would agree that the belief differs, but wouldn't say they were incompatible.

Not so sure about that. That whole Jesus being God thing is quite a sticking point. While there may be more details that are similar, there are details that have a greater weight that are not.

I don't think either religion could compromise on that point and still quite be the same.

Of course not, the fundamental reason that Christianity exists is the belief in Christ's divinity. If Muslims believed that then it wouldn't be a separate religion. But just as there are groups within both religions that emphasize certain points and beliefs within the religion, then different religions more strongly emphasize their differences rather than embrace their similarities. This doesn't negate the fact that there are more similarities in the fundamental beliefs than there are differences, it just means that they believe strongly in the few things that separate them from each other.

Yes. But if those difference cannot be negotiated away, than you really cannot call those minor differences as minor denotes it being something of small importance.

Yes. Jesus will return to Earth.
I consider Jesus or Isa as one of the most important Prophets in Islam because of his role in Judgement day.

We do believe Jesus was sent down as a Messenger for God but Jesus is not God or Lord, nor the son of God - we view that as little more than blasphemy.
One of the key reasons why Muslims cannot accept Christian's beliefs, due to the importance they place on his divinity and the whole trinity business

We do not accept the view that Jesus died on a cross for our sins, we believe he was raised into heaven and will return one day.

We do accept the miracles, and virgin birth etc. tho

The biggest irony of all the 3 major religions (in my opinion) is they all share and believe in the same God too - their interpretations of his/her/it's behaviour and view of us mere mortals has some significant differences. The "God" of the old testament being quite different to the "God" of the new. In some ways, the God of Islam is closer to the Jewish version than to the Christian God. (again - in my opinion)
