Like most myths there is usually some truth to the matter and a central figure it is based upon.

That doesn't mean the actual Jesus was anything like the religious promotional material make him out to be.

An Apocalypse (Greek: Ἀποκάλυψις Apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, i.e. the veil to be lifted. The term also can refer to the eschatological final battle, the Armageddon, and the idea of an end of the world. These perceptions may better be related to the phrase apokalupsis eschaton, literally "revelation at [or of] the end of the ćon, or age". In Christianity The Apocalypse of John is the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

Where the book of revelation refers to the "end of the world", it means the end of the world as we know it. It was not meant to be taken so literally. Its an easy misinterpretation.

There really isn't a lot of evidence that jesus existed.

I had a professor of philosophy tell me once: exact quote "your trying to disprove the existence of Socrates aren’t you? well there is just as much evidence he existed as your jesus." At first I didn't understand how he came to that conclusion. Over time I started to understand. I made intellectual arguments regarding the reason virtue existed, unknowingly mind you. I argued that the only reason we have an ideal like virtue is that we created it ourselves to represent something we held in high regard naturally. Of course the argument to him was the legitimacy of Socrates and all his arguments being the figment of Plato’s imagination.

Complex arguments for sure but we were both off target at the time. I didn't understand how I was arguing for the existence of god till I understood the philosophical value in arguments that absolutism represented.

Anyhow this is a bit of a rant and maybe even a little off topic but the wine is getting me tonight.

I'm aware of Revelations, and have studied it carefully.

I do not claim that I, or anyone else, understands it fully and in all details.

However, there is nothing in Revelations at all like what you posted above.

Jesus predicted his own return; read the Gospels.
