It's horrifying because Trump is blunt instead of making overt implications.
That doesn't make sense to me. Why do you want more totalitarianism and intrusion just because there is totalitarian and intrusion when you don't want there to be any totalitarianism and intrusion?

When I look for influence I don't look for "who I see more" or "who gets the most controversial headlines" - I look at who actually *has* influence and power.
General David Petraeus is my top choice for OBVIOUS reasons.
There's Supreme Court Justice Scalia, of course.

So is Paul Gigot - unlike TV yaptraps who go for ratings or like Ann Coulter who goes for "being most offensive" - he's the editorial page editor for the New York Times.
And Antonio Machiavelli - haha - ok - not a modern guy but he's very influential, still. . . and I just like him and thought I'd throw him on here.
Rick Santorum - started the No Child Left Behind monster of a disaster - originally known as the Santorum Amendment. . . out of the picture but left an incredible sway over our children's education.
