Yes I agree with Martin Luther King.

In general, war is stupid, pointless bull**** which only justifies people's crooked minds and wages. But human beings are inherently flawed, which makes us human. We will always have war, the most we can do is try to minimize conflict, we can never completely eradicate it.

What I liked most about the audio clip is when King is basically saying that though we have conflicts (which sometimes get violent) within our nation, there has been no bigger instigator of violence and war than our government.

Done.

I think we need more wars. Draft all the stoners, send 'em out to get shot, and make America better. We can conquer land and get rid of undesirables all in one stroke.

King's pacifist mentality was exactly what the civil rights movement of that time needed. For almost everything else, it's just not applicable.

The Vietnam War wasn't wrong because it involved shooting Vietnamese people. It was wrong because Vietnam itself had very little importance to us, and was not nearly worth the beating we took there.

War is atrocious, and horrible, but sometimes it is a necessary evil. Look at WWII, when we were fighting evil incarnate. Sometimes, there really is no option other then violence, but that should always be the last option. When people start using violence as the first option, as so many tend to do, then they corrupt the idea of it being occasionally righteous.

The only good reason for war is to rid society of undesirables, such as Homosexuals, Drug Addicts, Corrupt Politicians.
