But to be fair to Obama he's also been a teacher and a Senator. You've pointed out several times in recent posts that he was a lawyer - back in the 1990's - so, considering the progression of his employment record since then, he's no longer considered 'a lawyer' - much in the same way he's no longer a 'teacher' or a 'community organizer' or even 'a senator'

Why you're focusing so much on his Lawyer past elludes me - because right now he is *the president*
Because his principle education and time spent was in the field of law. It is rational expect someone trained in law to be able to do what actual oil engineers can't? Note, some people here think so.

I likened this to Bush fixing the ISS. Is that irrational? Of course. But rationality is not a common trait here.

    And you have evidence?

I don't know. Perhaps you should try logic, the strawmen you are building seem to lack it.
Because you say so? Oh wait. That's your standard line. Do you really think he can do more then Hayward who has a literal army of oil engineers at his command?

What does this even mean? I'm sorry, if you are going to build silly strawmen, at least have the initiative to explain what position you are giving me.
For someone so interested in the spill, you seem very uninformed as to who the players are.

So, by that rationale, President Obama can be blamed for nothing his administration does or does not do, correct?

No, I think the criticism is unjust and doesn't do a damn bit of good to plug the hole. Let's plug the hole and then determine whose ass we need to kick. Could O'bama have brought in foreign help and got things moving quicker. Probably so, but I think any administration would have difficulty handling something like this.

I'm curious about the 20 billion. Why 20 and why not 100. What is so significant about that number?

Still whooping that strawman around I see.

And then you go into making it up and outright lying in support of your dumb strawman. kudos to you.
