I've thought about joining them, their entrance requirements aren't that high.
I can't do running because of my knees, so I think it would work well.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

Check again. It's also not so much about entrance requirements as they don't check up on your background as much.

For myself - Paratroops again all the way, but I'd go in with my eyes wide open this time.

I would join the Air Force. I was in their JROTC program back in high school

To add to that, I think the Air Force is our most important branch.

    Perhaps.

But I haven't looked into either lately, so I have no real idea.

And, my main interested (fueled by copious sci-fi intake) has always been space - and the Air Force seems the most likely service branch to have any kind of contact with such. Even if only obliquely.

Or perhaps that’s just good press…I dunno.

Besides, I was actually in AFROTC (the 4-year program) for about a year – before I had to leave college due to really dismal performance brought on by not studying anywhere near enough.

Still a sore nerve for me…damnit.

If I still had both kidneys it would be the Air Force, since dad, grandpa, uncle, great uncle all served in the Army.

You really do not even want to start that.

Either the Coast Gaurd, Navy or the Air Force--in that order.

Why? I already spent 12 years in the Army. That experience tells me that the Marine Corps is out, too.
