    LOL Yeah - it's silly.

In most cases, yes. However, in politics, I think it likely that people have been accused of racism with no evidence and yet no racism on the accusers part whatsoever.

    Same as above.

    No.

My statement was “Accusing people of racism is not an example of racism.”

While that can be racist, it is not necessarily so.

If someone has proof, or what they incorrectly think is proof, it would not be racism, although it might be misguided.

If their “proof”, however, is based on the race of the accused…

I, personally, have no proof that this accusation against Hallmark was spawned by racism.

But I think it likely, considering who made the accusation and that the card in question was obviously not racist.

It, IMO, would take someone with a biased start point (although I do not know that the bias was race-based) to get from the card to “Hallmark is racist”

I think since Lee Atwater was George Bush's campaign manager and the architect behind that campaign, what he says about the campaign is worth considering. I figured proof of him admitting to using the race card to get votes would be a pretty solid piece of evidence that Bush was using the race card to get votes. Do you disagree?

    That's what thinking people do.
Thinking people also do research, like reading what the ad's designer said.
