the year I applied to law school the most qualified successful black applicant to Yale, Harvard, Cornell and Columbia Law schools had scores that not a single white applicant was able to gain admittance with

in all cases, at least several hundred white students were turned down with scores the same or above the most qualified black applicant

No. Certainly not to the extent that race factored favorably for the 42 guys before him.

As you can see, jobs have been created. "The Right Thing to Do" | The White House
March and April have both seen an increase in jobs

Obama is not killing the private sector, he is reforming and saving it.

The private sector has failed, they have gone unregulated and now many have lost their jobs.

And please stop calling me a Bolsheveik.

So what exactly are you blaming the banks for?

The website link I posted gives proof to job creation. As of now the economy looks like it is getting better.

And the banks were the ones who were left unregulated, sure they made bad loans, but they also acted riskily.

Their risk has costed the nation a great deal of harm.

The banks aren't the only ones at fault and who contributed to the recession, but they played their part.

As I already explained, if any president before Obama wasn't white, THEY wouldn't have had their fancypants background either. So what's your point? We're all aware that external factors influence a person's success. Did you have some conclusion beyond that?

Reagan, Carter, CLinton, Ike pretty much earned the office on merit

I would. Just to piss off all the "I am going to vote against the other guy" ass holes in both party's.

I never could stand people who vote for someone not because of views, but their chances of beating the other party.

    You all suck.

Alright I think I see what you're saying. Obama playing on his biracial origins is different than Bush playing on his conservative white man image. And Reagan doing the same. And Clinton doing the same. And Carter doing the same.

Ike was elected in 1952...not exactly the best time in America for race relations. If he wasn't white, he wouldn't have been a five-star general and certainly wouldn't have been elected president. Period.

Carter was elected in 1976. It would be EXTREMELY optimistic to suggest a black man could've been elected president then. But even if it was possible, it wouldn't have applied to Carter. It's highly unlikely he could've got into Georgia Tech or the US Naval Academy in the 1940s if he was black, and he certainly wouldn't have been elected governor of Georgia.

Reagan - There weren't too many famous black cowboys. If he was black, he would not have been a famous Western actor, and therefore would not have been president.

Clinton - If he was black, he would not have been able to get elected governor of a southern state in the 1970s. Ergo, no political career. Ergo, no presidency.

Your pathetic attempt to avoid the obvious that external factors (such as race) have been important for EVERY president is just that: pathetic. Funny how you only shriek about race helping someone when that person is of a different race than you. Hmm.

everything Obama had was based on his race not merit

Reagan was governor of california after being president of the SAG
Clinton was a Rhodes scholar and governor of Arkansas
Carter was a very good naval cadet and officer and governor
Ike was a top cadet and then supreme allied commander

they got all of that on merit

Obama got into Harvard because he was black

he got his primary opponent DQ'd in Illinois and then lucked out when some lib judge allowed a muckraking journalist to get sealed divorce court records of the GOP candidate

    he's a joke
