Who else is tired of seeing threads about the textbooks in texas

Texas did it. People may not agree over whether it was a good idea or not, but it happened. Get over it.

Why should they get over it if they do not agree with it? Besides, we're talking about the education of our children here. Why shouldn't people feel passionate about the debate one way or the other?

Problem is that most of the rest of the US uses those Texas text books.

Considering how badly American history is taught as it is right now, what's the worse that can happen?

Thomas Jefferson, inspiration to Simon Bolivar, was not as important as St. Thomas Aquinas in regards to revolutions. Nuff Zed.

Irony: Creating a thread about Texas textbooks to declare how tired you are about seeing threads on Texas textbooks.

It's not that people are passionate about it that's annoying, it's that they feel the need to start new threads on it every single time one more thing happens.

"Oh, the board is making these recommendations!"

"Oh, the board is voting on these recommendations!"

"Oh, the board approved these recommendations!"

I used to just merge them, but it's no longer any use. There's a 400 post thread where everyone had their say, and now people are just starting threads over again and going back to the same dumb talking points that we heard 2 months ago.

True, but I wanted to bring up my point in a visible manner.

Not everybody here read the thread you are talking about. This is really a big ****ing deal as far as I am concerned.

It's kind of funny that a state that wanted to secede from the union is writing textbooks for it.

Maybe some people would like to bury their heads in the sand but I don't.

    Texas school book depository.
