Awww... it's okay. Sorry your horse is getting a little ragged around the edges but that's what comes with the territory.

Yeah, this horsie just wasn't made to ride through the piles of BS that gets spewed by conservatives these days, lol.

Try 8 years of BS from progressive nut jobs - then come talk to me. Hell, the blame is still going on.

You do get the hypocrisy in you complaining about liberal nut jobs of the past and then complaining about liberals bringing up stuff from the past, right?

Sometimes, appologies are simply wise acts of diplomacy, to cool tensions between countries.

And China is definitely not the country that we should be apologizing to. Have they forgotten about Tibet?

Why is it a stupid idea? It works for Israel.

lol..... NOT the best example of a country respectful of human life and decency.

the Great wall of China was built to stop the mongol invaders....

It worked.

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongol_invasion_of_China]Mongol invasion of China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

The Mongol invasion of China lasted over 6 decades and particularly involved the defeat of the Jin Dynasty, Western Xia, the Dali Kingdom, and the Southern Song, which finally fell in the year 1279; the year that the Mongols had claimed the total conquest of China.

I dont see anything that says the US apologized to China for the new Arizona law. I see a state dept official who said China wanted to discuss US problems with human rights, but that quote contained nothing specific about Arizona. Then I see the same official commenting to reporters that the Obama admin doesn't like the law and saying it was mentioned in talks with China, not what that discussion about the law was about and certainly he didnt say it was an apology.

I dont think the apology includes any admittance that the US is worse than China, or that it means that it is worse than or as bad as China, where Human Rights are concerned. It is simply an acknowledgement by the US, that it fell short of adhering to the international code of human rights standards, and that it was a mistake which the US does not intend to repeat.

The leading Human Rights countries of the world cant reasonably continue to negotiate for the same standards to be upheld in all countries, if they do not take responsibility for their own mistakes.

I can reconcile it just fine. How about discussing the topic now - answer the poll and move on.

Answer the poll about the apology that never happened? No thanks.

I'm sure a word choices never stopped you before when you agreed with them. Why the difficulty now?

Countries should acknowledge their human rights abuses, with an intention to improve. Sometimes, this acknowledgement is most appropriately expressed in the form of an apology.

Countries like China, Iran, Iraq?.....Or just the evil U.S.A.?

The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Chinese Communists.

If they say to our Messiah, kneel, then he kneels.
If they seem displeased with States Law then they tell our Messiah to do something about it.
If anyone is in hock to anyone else to the extent that they owe more than they can ever repay, then that Debtor will do whatever he is told to do.

So you want to be like China and build a Great Wall of the United States?

Thanks but no thanks. I don't need my Government to wall us inside our country.

You just "need" a government that selectively enforces its own laws then?

Frightening!...All of "them" have failed us, but the "blame America first" crowd has so deeply mired us in generations of unfunded, unsustainable debt we'll be forever at the mercy of our creditors.....all to satisfy entitlement mentality and the juicy votes that come with satisfying it.
