Our future alien overlords, definitely the best.

Seriously though, the more I learn about our Presidents both past and present, the more I dislike, practically, all of them.

At the moment, none of the above.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

If it was left with just connecting cities as was its original mandate
Unless I've missed something, it is a web of connected cities.
My hometown of Indianapolis once had one of the best public transportation systems in the world.
World traveler are you? Not sure what you mean specifically, but if inner city transportation, you will need to find another source to blame.
    dependence on foreign oil
If you look hard enough, you can find numerous sources for the dependence on foreign oil.

It is hard to think of just one Favorite President. There are many.

Thomas Jefferson, James Polk, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan.

Clinton is the best one I have experienced in my lifetime.

    Than George Bush (the older)
    Than Reagan

How can anyone like Thomas Jefferson & FDR? That'd be like liking Guns & Roses and Flock of Seagulls.
