Bunch of pussies if you ask me.

    Cant handle being American? Leave.

Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

Doubtful since that would mean no free money, food or any other free stuff.

    The bette question is:

"Is it disrespectful to wear the US flag as clothing or use it as a fashion statement?"
<font size=5><b>Its been several weeks since the Vegas shooting. Its it still "Too Early" or can we start having the conversation about finally doing something about these mass shootings???</b></font>

So was it the right answer at the time?
The shirts never caused any problems before that day and hadn't caused any problems on that day. They should have been left alone. The school authorities might have taken the opportunity to explain that tolerance is a two way street, that there isn't anything offensive about the shirts, and that once they get out in the real world, nobody's going to watch over their oh so fragile feelings.

Someone mentioned earlier that as much as we may disagree with the school's actions, it is their choice to make. I agree. This, however, does not prevent consequences for bad decisions made by the administrators of that school. Personally, I think that anyone with so little respect for this country shouldn't be in charge of educating our children, especially since part of the curriculum is supposed to be teaching students how to be good citizens. The contracts of all the administrators involved in the decision to single these students out for harassment should not be renewed for the coming school year.

This code is the guide for all handling and display of the Stars and Stripes. It does not impose penalties for misuse of the United States Flag. That is left to the states and to the federal government for the District of Columbia. Each state has its own flag law.
Actually this code applies only to the flag and not clothes with the flag emblazoned on it.

Did you read what I said? Because if you had you would have seen your question being answered and wouldn't need to repeat your stupid questions:

If you are offended by what some wear, you shouldn't be surprised when others are offended by what you wear.

I personally would establish uniforms for all schools. But that is only because I find most American kids look like trash when they go to school. American flag or no American flag. With that said, a gay pride shirt is not ANY t-shirt. It is a very specific t-shirt.

Totally agree. Schools are supposed to be learning institutions; "style" and "fashion" are just distractions which unnecessarily create petty divisiveness among students.

... that don't suddenly disappear with the introduction with uniforms, IMO.

Kids still interact out of school and in school, and interactions surrounding fashion and style - including that which causes conflict - will still get dragged into the schoolhouse somehow.
