And there's no righties that are shouting racism at Obama and Co. for no good reason? I remember you in a thread yesterday having to point out to your fellow conservatives/libertarians that Obama wasn't playing the race card by actually addressing blacks and Latinos and women and young people.

I think Obama has demonstrated racism in the past, that instance there wasn't one IMO.

I don't think thats the same as mouth foamers calling me a racist because I think Obama shouldn't raise taxes.

The race card has been played so often in the last year it no longer has any power, and most people are sick and tired of it..... so let then play it as often as they wish.

If an issue exsists whether its racism or something else it always needs talked about. Of course there are alwys those that go to far and exxagerate and are hypocritical, this thred is a perfect example but thats just how things usually are.

So if the poll was dont properly Id vot no not tired of it or any real issues that need adressed.

Always tired of the extremists on either side of course but they dont matter not bother me unless of course they were right and im just in denial.

And I also heard plenty of people calling blacks racist because they voted for Obama in large majorities.

I just don't know where this meme came from that only libs are using this race card. It seems that that's now the focus on Rush's radio show daily, along with Beck being sure to jam it in there too.

There's too much of it from both sides, though I think it's been exaggerated by conservatives exactly how much some lefties are using it, but never the less i wouldn't dare say that none of them are doing it.

I heard it rarely, and it was total idiocy.

Easy. Show me the last 5 threads where the right is using the race card, and I bet I can double it for lefties in the same time period.

I don't call people racists, other than one race baiter on this forum, I've been called it by numerous left wingers.

I agree its much too much, however it is by far the left wingers calling right wingers racist over any disagreement with obama.

Re: Who here is tired of hearing about racism?

Race is an essential part of the American experience since the very earliest days. There is not an important topic about America that does not have a racial component. It's just the way it is. We must not ignore or deny our heritage.

What I find most interesting is the resentment that so many twenty-somethings have when race comes up in discussion. They don't like people talking about it or even taking notice of it. It's as if they just don't pay attention to it, it will disappear.

I think it's a mistake; you can't wish it away. Race exists and will continue to exist and it will continue to come up in our politics and in our courts and on our borders. It'll be there in our homes, in our workplaces, in our churches, in our restaurants and supermarkets. It is a part of our identity. Get use to it.

I am actually most tired of people apparently thinking that I can't be racist because I'm color-blind.

Re: Who here is tired of hearing about racism?

I'm very sick of hearing about racism. That makes me all the more convinced that the elimination of its existence is imperative.
