Do you think there will be violence by the May Day immigration protests?

On May 1st in 70 cities around the country there will be groups of people protesting the new AZ immigration law.

The question is a simple prediction. Will there be violence at the May Day immigration protests and to what degree?

Possibly by those who are vehemently opposed to this Bill.

Might be some violence by those who support illegal immigration but not much.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I think it will be mostly peaceful. We'll see how the media reports on it.

I saw a headline yesterday that an AZ deputy was shot in the stomach by a suspected illegal alien druggie.

What does that have to do with these protests? Also, clarification...was he shot by a suspected drug dealer? By a suspected illegal? Or one of these?

p.s. I predict that if ANYTHING happens at this protest, Mellie will post a thread blowing it out of proportion, just like the far left posters here do with the tea party protests.

Honestly, I think other states protesting is very foolish and counter productive. It's an Arizona issue, not a national issue. Plus I think to protest this law in the first place is dumb (because I strongly support it), however, people have a right to protest and voice their opinions. What I find very immature is that some cities are actually boycotting Arizona over this! Denver schools ban work trips to Arizona The level of maturity is below pathetic.

I think sanctuary states are worried that if it this trend picks up then their illegal immigration will become bigger due to illegals fleeing to their states thus eventually forcing them to do something about their illegal immigration or they are worried that the federal government might actually do their damn job and crack down on illegal immigration.Either way its bad for the sanctuary states.
