Do some people just feel the need to be outraged

I know several people who seem to feed on their own personal outrage. They do not seem fully alive unless they are pissed off about something. Whether that cause be rational or irrational, they will find a reason to be angry.

So, do you guys think this is normal for some people or am I just misreading them?

    The "need" to be outraged?
    No, not really.
I always prefer not to be outraged, it seems.

I am the same. The less angry I am, the better I feel.

The answer to any question that starts with "do some people" is always going to be "yes".

Re: Do some people just feel the need to be outraged

I don't think they really have a "need" for outrage, they just haven't learned how to channel that energy into something creative. It probably also says a little about their feeling powerless in certain situations and about their level of ideological beliefs.

Most definitely! I, personally, have my moments where I feed on this emotion, so I can identify.

If you ever listen to, as a prime example, Michael Savage on AM radio, you'll hear it in his voice. The guy is outrage 24/7. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Re: Do some people just feel the need to be outraged

A lot of the political "outrage" is fake. It's just for effect. But people feel the need to pretend to be outraged.
Wow. Am I awesome or what?
