Can humor be an effective means of political communication?

Whos serious business? MINE? YOURS? See Alexa thats exactly what I talked about in my post... "Warring personal passions of our value sytems"....-
That cause us to scream out at the top of our opinions : making our views known and loved for everyone to wear, even if he or she does'nt wanna.
I think maybe we should understand the need to step back and laugh at ourselves with someone for there benefit solely to give them pleasure and take refuge in a moment unbiased with our own experiences and that of our prefered values. Give laughter to your ideas and liven them with a fit of absurdity and above all Alexa, share them with us.

I find that in difficult situations humour laced with empathy can reduce tension. It can let the other know that you understand their position. In that way good humour can break the ice.

Given that we are talking about politics and politics is always serious for those involved, that is the serious business, though as I said it can be good in any difficult situation.

It does however only work when it is genuine. Too few politicians have this ability. ;)
