I didn't say they would die. Well actually everyone dies, so yes they would. But they'll die here, too.

Regardless, if I have to struggle to make sure my family has enough food and just a few miles away there is plenty of food and work, I'm hopping the fence. So it's illegal. Who cares? Send me back and I'll hop the fence again.

It would be hypocritical of me to find fault because A) I would do it, and B) As a libertarian I don't believe a crime was committed merely by walking a few feet. Just because someone commits a "crime" does not mean I personally take issue with it.
Wow. Am I awesome or what?

SO the illegals in this country would starve if they did not come here? You got something to back that up? Or is it just convenience. It's easier in the other country, so why do things legally since it might be hard?

You don't have to believe in laws for them to be real.

Well, "asylum" is not all that easy. And it's tough as a Mexican to rectify immigration law in America! Hell, you actually live in America and you have next to no impact on it. So depending upon my situation I simply would not care about the law. I need work and I need it now and someone is over a fence offering it to me. So I'm there.

Didn't say that either. Please read my posts before you respond. I am at work you know. There is little need to invent things to debate. It's a waste of time.

There you go again. Twice in one post. You truly have a gift. When did I say I didn't believe the law exists or that's it's not real? I merely said I don't care and it's not an issue for me if someone breaks it.

I'm not talking about rectifying the law. I'm talking about rectifying my illegal status. I wouldn't hide in the shadows and steal and defraud the citizens of the country I ran to for help. That's just rude.

Got it. It's not that easy. It takes time and money and few visas are granted. I would try the legal route, too. But if it did not work it would not stop me.

I agree. Good thing very few of them are doing that! They are not in the shadows because I see them everyday. And they are not defrauding people. They work. People pay them. Everyone is happy.

If country B proceeds to invade country A, obviously violating its immigration laws, would you be against such?
Please explain what immigration laws have to do with the above scenario.

Apparently the concept of asking questions is over your head. The question mark at the end of the sentence you quoted denotes a question, as in I am asking if that is what you are saying. Let me try it another way, since you diucked the question. Is it life or death, or is it convenience that most illegals are in this country?

    You said it right here:

Just because you don't believe it's a crime does not make it so.

Well, a million a year are granted. That's hardly a 'few'. And, I said I would only enter a country illegally if my life was in danger. In which case, I would be afforded protection by the US government if I could show that my life was in danger. There would be absolutely no other reason I would enter a country illegally.

Yeah, they don't steal SS numbers, get paid under the table, get treatment at hospitals that the rest of us have to pay for. Nothing like that at all.

With regards to Mexicans coming in here, I don't mind as long as they do two things: pay taxes and speak English.

If you're an uneducated American laborer who's whining because some Mexican will do a better job at a fraction of the cost, tough luck on you. Jobs aren't a right, nor are they an entitlement.
