Which city in America do you think should be the model city?

I say either San Fransisco or Los Angeles.

Austin, Texas, is pretty ideal.

I don't think we have one. Our cities vary in too many ways.

Well, this is all opinion based for the most part. Think of it as which city do you think has a political leaning in your favor, or culture, beauty, values ect. Basically if you were able to live in any city of your choice so long as it is in the United States, where would you move.

I am kind of partial to Athens, Ga. The only thing I ever found wrong with that city was Michael Stipe.

I listened to one of his solo albums. He puts me to sleep. :2razz:

I think LA and SF should slide into the pacific as soon as possible.

I don't understand the OP question. A model city for what? What are we trying to represent? Are you basically asking me what I think the best American city is?

The question is, what city do you think represent America the best.

When I think about america, I think about Los Angeles and New York.

Jacksonville makes it on the list but Boston doesn't? Madness.

But yeah, other for Boston.

But you like Peter Buck and Mike whatshisname, right?

Chicago most closely matches America as a whole. We're constantly getting ****ed by our politicians, but we are easily distracted by our sports teams, even when they suck.

I have to agree with ya on this this Tuck; I,ve been to most of the major Cities in the United States and Chicagoland Represents America best. Its not called the city with big shoulders for nothing.:2wave:

I voted Nashville. Although I admit my vote was biased because I live here :) I do think it would make a good American model city. Many genres of music make their home in Nashville. Music is a major part of culture and country.

Asheville NC is just about right.

Another great small city is Wenatchee WA. It's awesome. Skiing an easy 15 minutes from town, 4 seasons without too much snow, another great ski area an hour away, 2 hrs from a major metropolitan area, recreational opportunities up the ying yang, surrounded by orchards, and one of the few real bagel places in the State of Washington. Jeepers it's Bagels!

When China, Japan, et al, decide to quit backing the USA govenment spending binge, the typical USA community will look like LickSkillet, Mo ;)

.

Jacksonville in what state?
