I think the best response to this absurdity is lots of publicity that makes the Muslim world look like the babyish fools they are. They are emotionally stunted. The only reason they are even afloat at this time is that many of their nations happen to have oil. If it weren't for that they would be utterly third world, they are incapable of playing by the rules of more mature nations.
Screw 'em. And screw Mohammad too. And the camel he rode in on.

I'm so sick of these bastards. I relish the day the world no longer needs their oil and they are left to squalor in the desert pounding sand up their ass. They don't deserve to participate in humankind, in my humble opinion.

But, then again, I haven't had my coffee this morning either.

Unfortunately, this is a tactic that they use and people don't want to be killed. It's a dilemma.

If Muslims want to be a part of Western societies they are going to have to grow thicker skins and get used to criticism of their prophet, and having him be the object of satire. They need to grow up as a people, and be able to withstand this without rioting or killing the critics. No beheading either. They are still immature as a people if they can't handle this without these out of proportional responses.

If the Muslim world wants respect and admiration, they need to grow up, quit hiding in the shadows, learn to play fair, and learn to take it like men.
What is with all this 'Muslim world' BS?
Did all Muslims gather together and decide to send threats to the writers?

This was a few extremists whining and the channel bowed down to them. Don't blame Muslims for the response from the channel.

Yep. Anyone who thinks CC are a bunch of cowards should go draw a picture of an Arab, write "Muhammed" on it, and post it on a website along with their name and address.

They are aggravating. They are toast once they run out of oil. That's why it's so imperative that we aggressively seek alternatives to foreign oil. All the money we've spent on Mid East conflicts could have been better spent on research and development into liquid fuel alternatives.

Exactly. I doubt if many people here want to risk their lives to these followers of the peaceful prophet.

    Yes and no.

Why? Because this is America and we can say what we like. If you can't handle it, change the damn channel.

South Park has made fun of things I hold near and dear on some occasions. I got over it eventually. If I can do it, anybody can.

If they are honestly concerned for their safety, they should contact the law enforcement authorities and file a complaint against those who have threatened them.

    .
The comedy writers apparently weren't afraid since they produced the show in the first place. THEY WANTED THE SHOW TO AIR. It was Comedy Central that capitulated to the threats of criminals and censored it.

    Re: South Park Mohammad Censored

Trey and Matt achieved their goal for South Park's 200th anniversary show: they made people think!

I don't know whether showing a depiction of Mohammad or implying they were showing a depiction of Mohammad was right or wrong. But given the feelings of the Muslim community and especially in the face of credible threats from extreme elements within that community, these types of depictions were certainly viewed by the management as potentially endangering the lives of innocent employees at Comedy Central. Such judgments are a part of their responsibilities and they did what they thought best.

Parker and Stone have done this to Comedy Central management in the past and I rather think in this 200th show, which was a reprise of so many controversies they helped stir, they did it again. That's no mean feat. I doubt the missing dialog was half as good as the beep and the story behind the beep. Really, it was a tour de force.

Like I said, if you think Comedy Central shouldn't have done that, why don't you draw a picture of Muhammed and post it somewhere with your name and address?

Comedy Central is a business. A comedy business. They have a duty to their owners/shareholders not to risk getting blown up by terrorists over a few bleeps in a show. It's not their job to risk that to stand up for freedom and justice and all that crap. It's their job to make us laugh.
