If the car is held together by duct tape in 5 or more places I'll pass. So I guess styling is important. I don't feel like paying more that $20 for taxes on the car. So economy is important too. Working a/c is a luxury, so its not critical. I'm more concerned about the mpg for oil rather than gas. As long as I don't have to fill the oil and check the gas its a winner in my book. So score another one for economy.

So if you purchase a gray car that has a slightly grid-like surface texture, and then realize that it's entirely covered by duct tape...

Every few days I see an offhand joke on here and think "I'll bet that's actually happened."

The Crown Vic's / Grand Marquis / Lincoln Town Cars are the perfect used cars!
Very cheap to fix... tons of parts out there at very low costs... the cars are extremely reliable.... the are extremely crash-worth..... comfortable... huge amount of space.... this ride is excellent (2003+).... they are fairly quick and I very much like how they are styled too. Even the fuel economy isnt THAT bad. 15-city 32-hwy

This poll is multiple choice. Choose all that are really important to you.
The last time I got a car price was priority, and reliability was a close second. On a student's budget, if I couldn't afford it there was no point in looking at it, and buying anything that would die a week later kinda defeated the purpose of buying a car at all.

Looking ahead to my next perches, I'll have a larger budget so I'll be able to buy something with a respectable appearance. While reliability will be a given, utility will take priority. I need something that can transport a load of tools and people through acclimate weather, while showing some mercy on the fuel economy. Also, I've grown to like a hatch-back for accessing tools. The one thing I don't like about trucks is how I can't just toss my tools in the back and forget about them. I can do that with a hatch-back.

    I'm window-shopping Subarus....

Can't be that many windows to shop Subarus through...

    Shouldn't take long.

Unless you use MS Windows on your PC, and shop online...hmm.
